1857 Ferryland District Census
Ferryland District

This information was extracted and transcribed from: "Abstract Census and Return Of the Population, &c. of Newfoundland, 1857; as printed in the Journal of the Legislative Council of the Island of Newfoundland: being the fourth session of the sixth General Assembly, 1858; Appendix No. 29, Pages 344- 347."

[[Although this document reflects official information related to Ferryland District in 1857, users should be aware that some statistics may be invalid or omitted. For example, this document shows no members of the Church of England for the settlements from Bay Bulls inclusive to Cape Broyle inclusive. This is an obvious error, since these settlements, particularly Bay Bulls, had followers of this religious denomination. Researchers are advised to refer to other sources, if available, for more accurate figures. Kevin Reddigan - 2007]]
