Newfoundland's Grand Banks Genealogy Site Carbonear District This is only a starting point for people researching their ancestors in and around Carbonear. The Carbonear district comprises, in addition to the town of Carbonear, the communities of Bristol's Hope (Mosquito), Burnt Head, Crocker's Cove, Carbonear Island, and Victoria Village.
