Manuels River Head Gravesite
Manuels
Harbour Main District

(Complete as of 2022)

This is an an unmarked burial site, and registered archaeological site (CjAf-01), in a wooden area, at the lower end of Manuels River. At least one confirmed European grave exists, which was partially excavated in 1965. However, local lore indicates that, in the past, there were several slate markers, indicating the presence of additional graves.

Although, there are no known surviving records to identify the people buried at this gravesite, the land seems to have been occupied by the Smith Family as far back as 1803, indicating that the graves are probably of that family.
