Placentia and St. Mary's Bay District
Unnamed Cemetery
Sound Island

About 25 years ago I visited the cemetarys of Sound Island to search for one particular grave. I found it and recorded the inscription:

                            John Kirlew Angel
beloved son of Edwin and Annie S. Moore
died March 24,1899, age 18 months.

I have a photograph of the grave which is in tack with an iron fence and the stone is upright. There does not appear to be any other stones nearby and I recall this to be a small site ... quite near the shore where we docked our boat.

Rev. Edwin Moore was a Methodist minister at the time and was posted on the Island for about a year I believe.
Too bad I had not recorded all the stones at that time!
