Additional Information for this photo provided by Kathy Russell from the Coaker Foundation.

My father and grandfather remember the day that Mr. Will Hobbs (man closest to the water) killed the seal. The middle man was my father's grade school teacher in the late 40's, his name is Gordon King. They do not know the man closest to the building. My father says it may be a Mr. Alfred Quinton, but pop says it is definitely not him. Red Cliff Island is in the background. My grandfather is Captain John Russell and my father is Everett Russell of Red Cliff but they moved to Bonavista in October, 1952. They still have a strong connection to Red Cliff with friends and my parents have a cabin there that they spend a lot of their summer holidays. Quinton's of Red Cliff
