Bonavista 1940 This is my grandfather James Herbert Paddock, who served in the Royal Navy during World War Two and was involved in the sinking of the German battleship Bismarck. He was born in Bonavista, Newfoundland in February 1917 and died at his home in Western Bay on May 24, 1985, aged 68. Photo taken in London, England in June 1940.
