Fogo District

Fogo Foster's Point, Barr'd Islands GreatGreatGrandfather Hezekiah Hewitt was born 1814 in Bristol, England. He came to Newfoundland and it was said that he jumped ship at Fogo Island. He met and married Elizabeth Foster of Foster's Point, Barr'd Island's about 1842. They raised 15 children on Foster's Point. Hezekiah Hewitt died at Barr'd Isand's on Sept 30th, 1871.
