Aeneas & Sarah Bennett - 1906

Fogo
1906

Aa picture of my great grandparents Aeneas Bennett
(b. Jan 25, 1856 Fogo, d. Aug. 23, 1920 Fogo of
stomach cancer).  He is with his wife Sarah Ann
(Pickford) Bennett (1863-1945), and youngest
son Darrell (B. 1900 Fogo), at the family home
Fogo Island, 1906.

Aeneas married Sarah Ann, Nov 9, 1880, St. Andrews
Anglican Church Fogo Island. He was both a fisherman
and planter. He was active in his church, and I have
the annual sums he donated to St. Andrews. Aeneas
is one of the sons of John Bond Bennett (1805-1859),
buried in Fogo, and Ann (Mitchell) Bennett (1815-1878).
Sarah Ann is one of the daughters of Henry G. Pickford
(1820-?) and Martha Warrick (1823-?) of Change
Islands, Nfld. Henry G. Pickford was a widower
when he married Martha.
