mid to late 1930 - 1940's

This is a photo of the house my grandfather, Joseph B. Trahey, who was born on 2 Oct 1902
in Cats Cove, Conception Harbour, NL. He was the youngest of nine siblings. The house
behind it and another to the right are two of the three houses still standing. I estimate this is
around the mid to late 1930-1940's The house came down in the 1950's. This house
was owned by my great grandparents Joseph Trahey (Trehey) and his wife
Margaret (Kenney) Trahey. They both died in 1938.

This house & property have been photographed by many over the years. This picture was
colorized by an old boyfriend of my mothers, and would of been a black & white photo.
The barn, sheds, and stables are still standing.

Most people have seen pictures with two of the houses but not a picture witth this house
The house behind this one belonged to Joseph & Margaret Trahey's son Edward (Ned)
Trahey & Isabel (Power) Trahey. The third house which is not in this picture belonged
to my great grandfather's brother William Trahey, who never married.
The houses have stayed in the Trahey family over the decades.
