Port de Grave District

Port de Grave MatIlda (Taylor) Dawe Matilda was a keen reader and had beautiful penmanship. Members of the Community who couldn't read and write used to come to Matilda and dictate their letters to her. Matilda was of the Ship Cove Taylors, a distinct family from the "Harbour" Taylor family. Submitted by Andrew Taylor Contributed by Ted Newell
