Placentia-St. Mary's District

Samuel Coffin
Captain Samuel Coffin, born March 10, 1834,
Haystack, Placentia Bay, Methodist, my gg-grandfather
and Henrietta's father. Was living in Spencer's Cove
(just across the island from Haystack) during
1871, 1872, 1873 and 1874. Also lived in White Bay,
Little Bay Islands and died May 22, 1916, of "old age",
at 84 years, Trader, Schooner Captain,
buried in Little Bay Islands.
