George MacKensie Brown Forsey

St. John's City
July 1942

Photo of my great-great grandfather, George MacKensie Brown Forsey (on the right),
with an American serviceman (on the left) during the time of WWII.
From the Clayton Cook Collection, courtesy of the
Newfoundland Railway Museum.

Their caption reads: July 1942, Conductor George Forsey with an
American serviceman during the time of WWII, which was
the most profitable time in NFLD railway history! It is ironic
that during the railways finest years that it would acquire
the mocking nickname, the "Newfie Bullet".

Although the photo is included here under St. John's,
the actual location is unknown.
