CAT'S COVE
A large fishing settlement at the head of Conception Bay, district of Harbor Main. It's name is new Conception. The scenery around here is very fine, bold and beautiful. Farming is engaged in by the people to a considerable extent. Distant from St. John's by road, 30 miles. Mail weekly. Population 649.
