WHITE BEAR BAY A long and deep inlet to the west of Cape La Hune, running inland 12 miles, district of Burgeo and La Poile. It is well wooded with large timber. It is a capital place for fishing and shooting; bears, wolves and deer are to be found. Distant from Burgeo 12 miles by boat. Mail fortnightly. Population 11. |
