Anthony Butler Regt # 4111 (Donated by Ellen Butler)

Anthony Butler was the son of John Butler and Mary E. Flynn of Brent's Cove.

He was born Janurary 16,1890. He enlisted with the Royal Newfoundland Regiment on November 14, 1917 at the age of 27, his rank was Private, and his Regimental # was 4111. He served overseas in England. Joined the Battalion in the field on 5/09/1918. He recieved a Gunshot Wound to his left forearm on 28/09/1918.

He was discharged and sent back to Brent's Cove where he resided until his death on Janurary 23, 1971 at the age of 81.
