They had George in 1809 and Richard in 1813. I have no information on their spouses or children - except that Richard’s Daughter Sarah married William Clothier at Rencontre in 1857.

Other children of George and Sarah were:

Esther b. 1811 m. Thomas Durnford

There are other Ball families of Rencontre that I cannot link back to John so I am assuming they are from either of his brothers lines. These families are of Abraham and Rosanna (Rose) Ball who married abt 1845. Reuben and Elizabeth who married abt the same time.

Abraham who was born 1846 and was married to Mary Blakes.

Richard who was married to Hannah Marie Fudge in 1872. Seems they are the heads of the Richard’s Hr Balls.

Description :Looking for descendants of William Bennett born 1832 in Poole, Dorset County, England to Charles Bennett and Anne Moody. William left England c.1850 to work with his uncle Thomas Bennett who lived at Lamaline & Fortune. Thomas was the husband of Ester Forsey and had previously come from England. William left to go to west along the south coast Channel-Port aux Basque where he married Jane Kettle, daughter of William and Mary Kettle, on September 10, 1855 in Grand Bay They had the following children: Charles (1856), James (1859), Elizabeth (1862), Hannah Elizabeth (1864), Sarah Ann (1867), Edward (1869), John William (1879), Susanna (1874), and Wilson (1877) all in Grand Bay or Channel. John William married Evangeline 'Fanny' Chaulk, daughter of John Chaulk and Mary Ann Osmond. He died rather young and his wife remarried Philip Collier of Codroy, and took her children with her. The children born to John and Evangeline were: Susy Agnes (November 7, 1903) in Channel and died young in childbirth; Mary Ann (December 31, 1906) in Channel & married Ernest Bragg of Codroy (no surviving descendants); Lavina 'Dolly' (June 20, 1908) in Grand Bay & married Morgan Gallop of Codroy; Robert William 'George' (October 26, 1910) in Channel who died young of Chrons Disease; John Thomas (July 23, 1913) in Mouse Island & married Annie Jane Hilliard of Codroy; James Manuel (November 23, 1914) in Mouse Island & married Winnie Osmond. I am descended from John Thomas Bennett and Annie Jane Hilliard who were my maternal grandparents. Both John Thomas, Annie Jane and Evangeline died in 1 year. Evangeline died in August of 1868 in Gallants; John in September 1868 in a Montreal Veterans Hospital; and Annie Jane in October 1868 in Gallants. Both Annie Jane and Evangeline died in the family hoem in Gallants and John and Annie left 5 children, all still alive and with families. I have seen reference to this book on the internet through a Genealogy.com request for information on the Bowe family of Thomastown, Kilkenny Co. From that information I know that John Bow a native of Lisdowny Parish, Kilkenny Co., Ireland was married in St. Johns in 1803. There is a John listed as a farmer in Goulds in 1871 in this book. There is also a Robert Bowe,pensioner listed in the 1864/65 Directory of St. John's. My ancestor family of Bowes settled in Ohio, USA in the early 1800's and they too were from Lisdowny Parish in Kilkenny Co. I am interested in any information on this Bowe family in Gould which may be printed in this history of the families of the St. John's area.
