They had 3 children, William (1811-1865) had 9 children, one of whom (at least) went back to England and then out to New Zealand and Australia, arriving in NZ 1837. I have a Capt. John Taylor whose daugter Mary married a Stephen V. Taylor in 1846. The had a son William
Henry Taylor who married a Patience Elizabeth Taylor in 1877. They had four children: Emily (my g-grandmother), Sadie,
Stephen (who died in WWI) and Samuel Fielding who was given to Patience's family to raise after her death.
Except for Emily, Sadie and Stephen who died in WWI I have no other information and would appreciate any help at all!

Description : There were supposedly 4 brothers that came over from England to Newfoundland. William, who was born in 1811, settled at Harbour Le Cou and died there in 1897. Morgan, who died in 1890, settled at Grole. It seems that William also spent some time at Grole before moving to Harbour Le Cou. The two remaining brothers were rumoured to have moved to Australia. There is a James Taylor buried at Harbour Breton. According to his headstone he was born in 1792 and died in 1818. Seeking information on all the Taylor families of the south coast of Newfoundland.

Researching: Seeking information about Francis Thistle, a fisherman from Carbonear. He had a son Henry. Henry married Mary Hennesey Nov. 28, 1865 in the Carbonear RC church. Their children were Mary Bridget bapt. Feb. 5, 1867, Teresa bapt. Feb. 7, 1869, Maurice (called Morris) born Feb. 24, 1871, John Joseph (called Jack) born Nov. 18, 1876, Teresa born Nov. 25, 1878 and Agnes born Dec. 27, 1880. Description: I am a militaria collector and recently I bought the complete uniforms of a Major General H.H.Tudor,which were recovered from the attic of a large house in London. I am trying to piece together this man's history as he left the Army in 1925 and stayed with a George Barr in the St. John's City area, I know he is buried in the Anglian Cemetary there when he died in 1965. He also had a nurse who looked after him for 40 odd years, a Monica McCarthy. I cant find them at all in the census records for any dates after he went there in 1925 nor can I find Monica McCarthy who died in the 1980's. Apparently there are items of his from the First World War in the Newfoundland Museum but I cannot get an answer to my emails to them for help. Apparently they may have lived in apartments called Churchill Square in the City of St Johns. Any information would be most appreciated.
