Passed away in Alberta on August 1, 2009, Alvin Diamond, age
42 years. Predeceased by grandparents, William and Eva Diamond and Alex Moore
and Mary Dart. Left to mourn with loving memories his parents, Guy and Ettie
Diamond of Clarke's Head, Gander Bay; sisters, Yvonne (Harry) Morgan of Gander,
Brenda (Brad) Kean of Grande Prairie, AB; nieces, Amy of Valleyview, AB, Charlene
and Kelly Morgan of Gander and a large circle of relatives and friends. A memorial
service was held Sunday, August 9th from Riverside United church, George's
Point. Inurnment followed at the United Cemetery, George's Point. Donations

Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on August
3, 2009, Winifred May Saunders, age 80 of Hare Bay. Predeceased by her husband,
Frank; parents, Cecil and Kate Vivian; sister, Ruby and brother, Wesley.
Leaving to mourn are one son, Eugene (Sharon) Saunders of Gander; two daughters,
Noreen Saunders of Hare Bay and Dallas (Roger Collins) of Paradise; two granddaughters,
Alison Collins of Paradise and Melissa Billard of Gander; brother, Boyce
(Mae) Vivian of Hare Bay; brother-in-law, Wilson (Blanche) Saunders of Riverview,
NB; three sisters-in-law, Ivy (Theophilus) of Wetaskiwin, AB, Maxine Vaters
and Marilyn (Gordon) Lee of Hare Bay; nieces and nephews and a large circle
of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on August 6, 2009
at the Salvation Army Citadel, Hare Bay, with Majors Barry and Donna Anstey
officiating followed by interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Arrangements
were entrusted to the care of Oram's Funeral Home, Dover.

Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on August 8,
2009, Molly Blackwood, age 86 years of Wesleyville. Predeceased by her husband, Edward;
sons, Edward and Albert; grandson, David Jr.; brothers, Edgar Glover and
Watson Glover and sister-in-law, Dorothy Glover. Leaving to mourn with fond
and loving memories are her sons, David (Anita) of Port Hope, ON, Frank (Mary)
of Richmond Hill, ON and Edgar (Geraldine) of Wesleyville; daughters, Diane
(Dalton Blake) of Baytona, Annie (John Wakely) of Mount Pearl, Mabel of Vancouver
and Daphne and Joyce, both of Ontario; daughters-in-law, Margaret of PEI
and Joan of Ontario; sister-in-law, Elvina Glover of Western Bay; brother-in-law,
Cluney Blackwood (Audrey) of Mount Pearl; two grandchildren and a large circle
of other family and friends. Funeral took place on Tuesday, August 11th from
Jubilee United Church, Wesleyville with Rev. G. Kean officiating. Interment
followed from the United Church Cemetery, Wesleyville. Arrangements entrusted

Alice Harding, aged 89, formerly of Greenspond, NL, passed peacefully away
on August 14, 2009 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay, NL. Predeceased by parents,
Captain Robert and Minnie Carter and husband, Frank. Leaving to mourn with
fond and loving memories are her sons, Harry Abbie) of Badger's Quay, Rex
(Charlotte) of Wareham and Frazer (Lavinia) of Greenspond; daughter, Phyllis
(Bert Burry) of Greenspond; brother, Wilfred Carter (Susie) of Greenspond;
sister-in-law, Effie Pope of London, ON; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren;
nine great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren and a large circle
of other family and friends. Funeral service took place on Monday, August
17th from St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Greenspond. Arrangements entrusted

Ontario in his 50th year. Predeceased by his grandparents and

BARBOUR, Chesley -
The Rev. Chesley Lindbergh Barbour. Lind was born in Newtown, Bonavista Bay,
Newfoundland on November 23, 1927 and died in Regina, Saskatchewan on August
23, 2009. He was predeceased by his son, Donald Kevin; his parents, William
and Janet Barbour; and his grand-niece, Gail House. Lind is loved and remembered
by his wife, Mary Beth and family, Beverly and Tom Coates, Leah and Karen;
David Barbour and Valerie Noftle, Erica and Matthew, Brenda and Don Krueger,
Sharon and Chee Seng Tan and Kevin Reinhardt, Michael and Christine Harle,
Brian, Jackie and Samantha, Steven and Carla Harle, and Amanda, Jennifer
and Tim Tenford. His Newfoundland family, Calvin and Doris Barbour, Kay and
Calvin House, Vanessa and Paul. Lind was ordained to ministry in the United
Church of Canada in Grand Falls, Newfoundland on June 5, 1950 and served
in churches in Newfoundland, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, retiring in Grand
Coulee, Saskatchewan. A service of remembrance and thanksgiving was held
at Knox Metropolitan United Church, Regina on Thursday, August 27, 2009.
A service was held at Trinity United church, Newtown, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland
on Monday, August 31 with burial followed in Newtown. Donations in memory
