Eleanor was born on Pinchard's Island in 1924. Passed peacefully away at Brookfield Hospital on December 21, 2012. Predeceased by her parents; Elizabeth and Joseph Norris, husband Nathan Bourne, son; Claude Bourne, brothers; Jacob and Kenneth Norris , sisters; Emily (Sis) Brown, Greta Hounsell, Lydia Gill, May Blackmore and son-in-law; Leonard Hunt, step daughter-in-law; Audrey Bourne . Leaving to mourn with loving memories are sons; Lindburgh Bourne (Yvonne) of Corner Brook, Melvin Bourne (Daphne) of Corner Brook, daughters; Mary Bourne of Trinity, Elsie Hunt of Wareham, Yvonne Pickett (Brian) of Centreville, Norma Hunt (Brian) of Dover, 2 step-children; Frank Bourne of Centreville, Charlie Bourne (Selina) of Trinity, brother; James Norris (Leah) of Gander, 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on December 23, 2012 at The St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity with Rev. David Coffin Officiating assisted by Rev. Perry Cooper. Passed peacefully away at the Bonnews Lodge, Badgers Quay, on Thursday, December 6, 2012, Allan Bungay, age 94 years. Predeceased by his parents Georgina and Pierce Bungay, Sisters: Caroline Jane, Mildred, Ethel, Neta Bessie, Neta Stacie and Lucy, Brothers: Percie and Edward Maxwell. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Many thanks to the staff at Bonnews Lodge, Badgers Quay. Passed peacefully away, surrounded by her family, at the James Paton Memorial Hospital on December 27, 2012, J Madeline Burry, aged 87 years. Born in Old Bonaventure, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland to Walter & Lillian Hodder. Predeceased by her husband Thomas, two infant sons (both named Robert), her parents, three sisters, Beatrice, Marion & Gladys, and one brother, Robert. Leaving to mourn, her loving and devoted children, Charlotte Bull (Robert), Brenda Diamond, Kathleen Ward (Roger), Trudy Burry, and Thomas Burry Jr (Sharon); six grandchildren: Tonya Bull-Kelly (Rodney), Trendi Diamond (Chris), Courtney Hunt (Jody), Rana Ward (Mark), Penny Diamond (Colby) & Aaron Burry; one precious great grand-daughter, Sophie Addison Hunt; also mourning the loss, her sister Elsie Hawkins and two brothers, John Hodder (Freda) & Richard Hodder (Doreen); sister-in-law, Lillian Burry; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins; and many dear friends. June 28, 1979 - December 21, 2012

Brad's sudden death at the age of 33 years has left many in disbelief and with broken hearts. Brad was a dear son, devoted husband, beloved brother, respected co-worker and loyal friend. He leaves to morn his wife Lori; parents Roland & Bonnie Mercer; brother Brandon (Joy); nephew Charles; Grandparents Marie Kean, Wilfred Mercer. Predeceased by his grandfather Roland Kean, grandmother Sadie Mercer. Also leaving to mourn father-in-law Dean Stagg (Dena); mother-in-law Christal Goodyear (Rick); brother-in-law Chris Stagg. Brad will be deeply missed by his special little friends; Danielle, Katie-Lynn, large number of close friends, his community and all those he compassionately cared for at Brookfield Hospital during his 9 years of nursing there. On May 17th, 2000 Brad began his Nursing career as a PCA at Bonnews Lodge, and then on May 5th 2003, he began work at Brookfield Hospital as an RN. Rev B. Hannon & Rev L. Bungay conducted the Funeral Service at Sincerely Yours Funeral Home on Wednesday December 26th, 2012. Lieutenants Brent and Melissa Haas held a Live Stream of the Funeral Service at the Salvation Army Corp. Interment followed at the Brookfield United Cemetery. Mills, Lawrence George (Larry):
Passed away peacefully under the compassionate care of the staff of the Agnes Pratt Home, on Friday, December 14, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents William and Dinah (nee Laite), wife Florrie (nee Pottle), and siblings Len, Ches, Nellie (Balsom), and Jack. Lawrence leaves to mourn, and celebrate his life, his son Barry with wife Heather Butler, and a wide circle of relatives and friends. Lawrence, at the age of 96 was the eldest and longest lived member of the Mills family of Mills Siding, Shoal Harbour. He was an early and longtime resident of his well-beloved town of Gander. WICKS, Lionel
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Friday, December 14, 2012, Lionel Wicks, age 91. Predeceased by his parents Agnes and Jacob and brother's Maxwell and Leonard. Left to mourn with loving memories are his wife Emily (nee Lush) Sons; Larry (Joan) Gander, Gerald (Winnie) Gambo and Dennis (Linda) Appleton, daughters; Patsy (Joe Purcell) Labrador City, Marilyn (Keith Seaward) Gander and Sharon (Barry Hammond) Ottawa. Brother, Cator (Jean) Best,Kippens. Sisters; Annie Penny, Campbellton, Aggie (Wilmore Hounsell) Nova scotia and Beryl (Calvin Howell) Wesleyville. Grandchildren; Larry, Jacob, Thomas, Dennis, Jo-Anne, Emily, Gregory, Joey, Dana, Terri-Lee, Lionel, Richard, Bill, Jeffrey, Jessica, Evan and twenty great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Lionel passed peacefully away after a long battle with lung disease. He was born in Wesleyville and married to his loving wife Emily for 69 years. He worked as a butcher at the Old Army Side and continued working at the Gander Airport as a chef and baker where he retired after 42 years. His flair for baking was enjoyed by everyone. Lionel loved hunting, fishing, working in his vegetable garden and cutting fire wood. He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife and family; who will be forever grateful for his wonderful neighbors, extended family, caregivers and friends. The family sincerely thanks the Salvation Army Church, Stacey's Funeral Home, and the staff at James Paton Memorial for their compassionate care. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander on Monday December 17, 2012 from 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. and Tuesday December 18, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Funeral service was held on Wednesday December 19th, 2012 from the Salvation Army Church, Gander. Interment will be at the All Saints Cemetery. Donation's in Lionel's memory may be made to the Lung Association. Arrangements entrusted through Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander.
