ABBOTT, Cyril -
Cyril Abbott
passed away peacefully with his family present on the January 31, 2012 in Gander after several months battling cancer. Through the process Dad maintained his humor and indomitable spirit. He was a fighter in life and showed what it meant to maintain dignity and grace in truly difficult circumstances. We thank all those who cared for Dad and who took the time to visit and constantly ask how he was doing. It was appreciated by him and us more than you could ever know. Thanks especially to Dr. Saad whose caring and respectful approach made the difficult times just a bit less troubling. Dad was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth, daughter Madonna, brother Reuben, sons-in-law Everett and Gerald, parents Samuel and Blanche Abbott, and in-laws Hugh and Eva Mouland. He leaves behind to remember him daughter Marie, sons Cyril (Pam), Roger (Heather), Shawn (Gigi), son-in-law Reg, twelve grandchildren, one great grandchild, and one niece, as well as a host of friends and family. Dad was buried on Bonavista on 3 February 2012.
He will be dearly missed.
