Passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday, May 19, 2016 Taylor Blackmore age 56 years of St. John's, formerly of Newtown. Predeceased by his parents; Ephraim and Jane; sisters; Marina and Marjorie. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife; Maureen; son; Kris (Justine) of St. John's; daughters; Sherry-Lynn (Jason) of Lumsden, and Karen (Tristan) of St. John's, brothers; Jesse (Marcie) of Musgrave Harbour, Harland (Marion) and Jim of St. John's, sisters; Sue (Junior Stokes) of Lumsden, Linda (Wayne Parsons) of Edmonton, Alberta and Avril (Harry Attwood) of Badgers Quay, grandchildren; Marcus, Riley, Jaxon and Courtney. BROWN, Delita Marjorie
Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Care Center on Sunday May 29, 2016 after a short illness. Aged 79 years. Predeceased by her parents Jabez and Jane Norris; sisters Lily and Annie; brother William; grandson Terry Blackwood; great-grandson Jackson Phillips; sisters-in-law Neta Brown and Agnes Norris; brothers-in-law Christopher Sturge, Eli Oram and Clyde Best. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband Ross of Badger's Quay; daughters May Burry (John) of Georges Brook, Cindy Blackwood (Frank) of Greenspond; sons Dennis (Ruth) of Gander, Jim (Martha) of Mt. BUTTON, Winston
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at The Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Friday, May 6, 2016 Winston Button age 68 years of Centreville. Winston was born on Silver Fox Island but his heart never left. He was an electrician and proud owner of Button's Electrical Inc. Winston's lifetime commitment as a volunteer influenced 100's of youths and he was a pillar of the Indian Bay Recreation Commission. His passion as a volunteer only fell short to the love for his family who will miss him dearly. Winston is predeceased by his parents; Samuel and Maude Button, daughter; Jennifer Cutler, sisters; Shirley and Betty, parents-in-law; Chesley and Lucy Pickett. August 21, 1924 - May 4, 2016

Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre on May 4, 2016 Patrick Callahan at the age of 91 years. He was predeceased by his wife Clarice; parents James & Ann Callahan; sisters Frances & Marie. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons: Gerald (Flo) of Bowmanville, ONT., Bill of Scarborough, ONT., Bob (Jean) of Gander, Craig (Sue) of Allen, Texas; daughters: Marie (Paul) of St. John's, Judy of Germantown, Maryland, 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, also nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. HOLLAND, Bridget
Passed away peacefully at Lakeside Homes, Gander on Sunday, May 1st, 2016, Bridget Holland, age 87. Predeceased by her parents Pierce and Margaret Maloney, husband Anthony, son Benny, brothers Peter, Michael, James, and sister Anne Philpott. Left to mourn with loving memories are her sons Brian (Ann-Jeanette), Barry (Bernadeth), daughter Helen (Mario), sister Cecilia Maloney, grandchildren Kristin, Jonathan, Genesta, Rebecca, Justin, Jayden, Jonathan Moore, daughter-in-law Michelle and a large circle of relatives and friends. Bridget Holland was born in 1928 in Sweet Bay, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador. She left Sweet Bay at age 14 to begin working in Grand Falls prior to moving to Gander to work at the Department of Transportation Gander Terminal as a waitress. Bridget married Anthony Holland in 1955 and they resided in Gander raising three children. She later began working at the James Paton Memorial Hospital until her retirement. Bridget thoroughly enjoyed baking, crossword puzzles, gardening, knitting, walking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will forevermore be remembered by relatives and friends for her fun, loving, and kind spirit. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, May 3rd at 11:00 A.M. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. Interment followed at All Saints Cemetery, Gander.
