CLOUTER, Mary
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Clouter at Lakeside Homes, Gander at the age of 94 with her eldest son, Carl by her side on October 20, 2016. Predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas, son Howard and Son-in-law Jeff. Loving Mother of Carl (Norma), Joan (Jeff), Barry (Shirley) and Sheldon (Beverly). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Jacquie (Ian), Janice (Mike), Heather (Dennis), Paula (Scott), Debbie (Paul), Sean, Natasha, Tony (Michelle), Andrew (Sarah). She was loved by her great grand children, Jonathan, Meagan, Stefanie, Chantal, Emily, Chelsie, Nick, Kate, Simon, Savannah and Makayla. She was a proud great-great Grandmother to Niko, Jade and Jaycee.The family would like thank the caring staff at Lakeside Homes for all their care and attention. A woman of extreme strength, courage and love, who was beautiful, soft and now peaceful and free as a dove. She is gone but will never be forgotten, she will live in our hearts forever. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home. Funeral service was held on Monday, October 24th at 11:00 A.M. from Fraser Road United Church. Interment followed at All Saints Cemetery. GOSSE, DEANNA GERALDINE NEE (HUTCHINGS)
MARCH 29th, 1940 MARKLAND
OCTOBER 14th, 2016 GANDER

Following a courageous battle with cancer, Dean as she was affectionately known, passed peacefully away at home on October 14th, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. A very much loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Dean was predeceased by her parents John Hutchings Sr., and Cora Westcott, brother Archibald, Wilson, and John Jr., sister Pearl Hutchings, Mary Harris, Mable Boys, Mildred Forbes, Sue Hedderson, and Laura Didham. Remaining behind to honor and celebrate her life are her loving husband of 56 years Donald, her children Jeff (Cathy), and Russ, brother Fred (Mary), and sister-in-law Ada (Harve) and the angel of her life, granddaughter Rae as well as a large circle of family and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Matthews and Charlene and all of the staff at the Gander Cancer Clinic. Also a sincere thank you to Greg Banfield and the palliative care team, Fae and Johanne, her home care comforters as well as her friend Anne for enabling Dean to remain home in her final days. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral service was held at St. Martin's Anglican Cathedral, Gander on Monday, October 17th, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. Interment followed at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gander Cancer Clinic or a charity of one's choice. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear loved one on Monday, October 24, 2016 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Bertram Hounsell age 90 years of Pound Cove. Predeceased by his parents; Percy and Florence, wife; Esther, sons; Barry and Percy, grandson; Darryl, sisters; Stacie, Gertie and Ina and brother; Carmen. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons; Dennis (Rosemarie) of Wesleyville, Alban of Pound Cove and David (Darlene) of Terrace, B.C., daughters; Rosalind (Larry) of Ottawa, Ontario, Patsy (Glenn) of Pound Cove and Tina (Bob) of Pound Cove, grandchildren; Shawn, Valerie, Nancy, Crystal, Steven, Geoffrey, Dillon, Travis, Victoria, Matthew, Andrew and Abby, great grandchildren; Christopher, Bradley, Tyler, Danielle, Ocean, Paris, Alexander, Gage, Paige, Morgan, Kagan and Beau, daughter-in-law; Cathy and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at St. Mark's United Church, Templeman with Rev. Larry Noseworthy officiating. HOYLES, Peter Lewis
(July 29, 1939 - October 6, 2016)

With a spring in his step and a smile on his face, Peter Hoyles (age 77) of Gander left this world on October 6, 2016. Pete was predeceased by his wife, Joan (Powell) Hoyles, in 2003. Left behind to carry on a fine tradition of laughter, love of family, enjoyment of the outdoors and fine food are his loving partner of seven years, Maggie Ivany, his sister Pearl Yetman (Mike) and his four children, Andrea ( Dana), Chris (Traci), Cathy (Peter) and Susan (Paul). Pete's grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of his life and "Dad Pete" was special to them; Jennifer, Aaron, Lucas, Matthew and Nell had a grandfather to remember. Miles and Henry had a great-grandfather who was a child at heart. He will also be missed by cousins, nieces and nephews and kindly regarded family on the Powell side. Pete was an original resident of Gander and took great pride in the town's history as the "Crossroads of the World. Loving boats, planes and cars, Pete was an explorer - happiest on the move with the sun on his face and the breeze in his hair." Visitation has taken place at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander on Sunday, October 9th from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M.- 9:00 P.M. Funeral service was held on Monday, October 10th, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. from the Fraser Road United Church. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. KELLY, Colin
Passed on: October 23rd, 2016

Passed peacefully away on October 23, 2016, at his residence in Gambo. The late, Colin Frances Kelly, aged 62 of Gambo. He is predeceased by his parents Daniel and Lucy Kelly, Sister Marlene Goulding, and Brother Daniel Kelly. Also, left to mourn his son Colin Jr, Sister Yvonne Anstey of Ontario, brother-in-law Woodrow Goulding and family, nephew's Chris (Dulcie) Anstey of Grand Falls-Windsor, John Anstey of Ontario, Mark Goulding and family of St. John's, Barry Kelly, Gerard Kelly & Daniel Kelly. Nieces Ramona & Ann-Marie, and a large circle of friends and relatives. Many thanks to Kevin and Suzette Paul of Gambo for opening up their home and hearts for Colin.

KELLY, Otto
August 22nd, 1949- October 15th, 2016

Surrounded by family and close friends, Otto Joseph Kelly passed peacefully away on October 15th, 2016 at James Paton Memorial Hospital. Otto is predeceased by parents Alphonses and Monica Kelly and sister Ann Marie. Left to celebrate his life are his wife Rose, daughters Nicole (Dean) and Karen (Adam), sisters Doreen (Jose) Perotta, Anastatia Kelly, Anita (Roy) Pritchett, and a large circle of extended family and friends. The funeral service was held 2:00 pm on October 18th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Roman Catholic Church. Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes in Gander on Monday, October 10, 2016, Mrs. Barbara Pinsent of Musgrave Harbour in her 95th year, Predeceased by her husband Stanley, daughter Jean, parents Pheobe and George Pardy, step-father Jesse Abbott, sisters Jean, Meta, Sadie, Joyce, Maisie, Pearl, Loretta, brothers Carson, Happy, Ernie, Hector and Samson. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her two sons Jack (Edith) of Musgrave Harbour, Jim (Nicole) of Labrador City, Daughter Mona Hann (George) of Musgrave Harbour, sister Mereida Abbott of Musgrave Harbour, eight grandchildren Brad, Greg (Kristy), Kelly (Les), Karen (John), Daxton (Jennifer), Blake (Mitzi), Natalie (Darryll), Mathieu (Kim), 14 great-grandchildren Zachery, Jacob, Gracie, Danielle, Katie-Lynn, Andi, Brynn, Ben, Virginia, Jada, Mackenzie, Morgan, Melodi, and Maxwell. Also, a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Thursday, October 13th from The Salvation Army Citadel in Musgrave Harbour with Majors Bill and Barb Pearce officiating. REID, Marjorie Pearl

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Marjorie Reid (nee King) on October 29th, 2016 at the age of 88 years, in Calgary, AB. Marjorie is survived by two daughters: Diana Garland , Rowena Bibee; two sons: Derek (Lorraine) Reid, Darren (Avis) Reid; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; brothers: Wesley and Cyril King, Heman and Cecil Whalen; sisters Daphne Stacey, Kate Martin also her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Munden; infant daughter Daphne; sisters: Annie Green, Doris Hillyard, Nina Mortimer, Sylvia and Melvie King; brothers: George, Leslie and Silas King; sons-in-law: Glen Garland and Silas Bibee. Marjorie's values and her strengths were an inspiration for her family and friends. She contributed countless hours of volunteer work and found her own source strength in God and the First Assembly Pentecostal Church on Elbow Drive in Calgary. Marjorie was an amazing mother, mother in law, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend whose gentle and loving presence will be missed by us all. Marjorie's family wishes to acknowledge the staff at the South Health Campus for the compassion and care they provided. Visitation has taken place at Stacey's Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue, Gander, NL on Wednesday November 2nd, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. and at Evangel Pentecostal Church, 57 Elizabeth Drive, Gander, NL on Thursday November 3rd, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon from where a memorial service celebrating Marjorie's life has taken place at 2 p.m. officiated by Pastor Ralph Benson with internment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
