The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown
and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour. All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

 

BAKER, Renee Emma
(April 19, 1933 - April 3, 2013)

Passed peacefully away at her residence in Grand Bank on Wednesday April 3, 2013, Renee Baker of Grand Bank age 79 years.Predeceased by parents George and Eliza Rose.Sister Hatti Drakes and Husband Allan James Baker.Leaving to mourn; daughter Helen (Rose)Thornhill; son George (Jim) Rose, brother William Rose of Harcourt, and sister Susan Hill of St.John's, also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at Warren's Funeral Home on Wednesday April 03 from 7-9 pm and on Thursday and Friday from 2 pm-4 pm and 7 pm-9 pm. Funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel on Saturday April 06,2013 at 2 pm. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery. (March 20, 1966-April 16, 2013)

It is with great sadness the family of Allison Barrett of Winterland announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on April 16, 2013, at the age of 47 years. Leaving to mourn her husband Tony; mother Elsie Rennie; sons Darian and Tristan; sisters Vanessa Barry (Mike); mother and father-in-law Edgar and Elsie Barrett; brother-in-law Fabian Barrett (Theresa); nieces and nephews plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by father George and sister Andrea. Resting at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin Tuesday 7-9 pm and Wednesday and Thursday 10 am to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place from St. Patrick's RC Church, Burin Friday, April 19th at 10 am with interment following at RC Cemetery, Salt Pond. Passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Nursing Home, St. John's on Saturday April 20, 2013, Susie Jane Blagdon of Grand Bank, age 87 years. Predeceased by husband Newton, baby daughter Judy, parents Frank and Agnes Thornhill, brothers Gordon, Eli, and William, sisters Shirley and Ruby. Leaving to mourn with wonderful memories are daughters Joan (Joseph) Blackmore, Grand Falls-Winsor, Catherine (Dick) West, White Horse, Janet (Michael) Stephens, Mount Pearl. Grandchildren Derrick (Niki), Susan (Conor), Jim (Jo-Mary), Mark (Kimberley), Adam (Jamie), and Gillian. Great grandchildren Joshua, Charolette, Ava, Brooklyn, Paige and Jack. BROYDELL, Guy Fraser
(April 8, 1932 - April 10, 2013)
It is with great sadness the family of Guy Broydell of Burin Bay announces his passing at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn wife Alberta; sons Derek (Ruth) of St. John's and Dwayne (Myrna) of Burin; daughter Diane White (Kevin) of ON; grandchildren Denise Robertson, Keegan Broydell, Ryder Broydell and Felicity White; great granddaughter Jessica Robertson; sisters Arlene Broydell and Mildred English (Ron); brothers George (Gertie), Wallace (Grace) and Percy plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by brother Carl and parents Mildred and Ladner Broydell. Resting at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin Thursday 4-9 pm and Friday 10 am to 9 pm. BUTT, Fred R
(March 5, 1947 - April 30, 2013)
Passed peacefully away surrounded by his family, on April 30, 2013, Fred Butt of Grand Bank at age 66. He was predeceased by his parents George and Elizabeth Butt, and sister Rebecca Avery, brothers in law Clarence Avery and Frank Beck. Leaving to mourn his loss are sisters, Esther Butt of Grand Bank, Mary Beck of Springdale, Jane Howell ( Les) of Grand Prairie, Alberta, Georgie Noseworthy (Cephas) of Whitby, Ontario, brothers Harry Butt ( Vera) of Grand Bank, and Norman Butt ( Miriam) of Canso Nova Scotia. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Fred had a number of friends in his life, and one person who stood by him throughout his life is George Fizzard, he too is mourning the loss of Fred. In keeping with Fred's wishes, cremation has taken place and Interment is to be determined at a later date. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice in memory of Fred. A private family service in planned for a later time. Predeceased by wife Georgina; mother Annie Amelia (nee Mitchell) and step-father Samuel Fizzard. Leaving to mourn: daughter Evelyn (Wallace Clancey), son David; grandchildren Vanessa and Lisa; great grandson Christopher Eugene; sisters Stella Pearl (Wayne Hollett) and Greta (Harry Tarrant), brother Lewis (Helena); and trusted companion Joe. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Michelle Mitchelmore (Dean) of Glenhaven, NS, Cathy Maclean (AJ) of Eastern Passage, NS, John Warren (Gloria) of Marystown, Donna Riley (Doug) of Halifax, NS and Lynn Seed (Mark) of Armstrong, BC; daughter-in-law Vera Warren; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by husband Michael and Son Bill. Resting and visitation to take place from Wiseman's Funeral Home in Marystown, on Monday, April 29th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 30th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Wednesday, May 1st, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown. In Marcella's memory donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Hospital Auxiliary or flowers gratefully accepted.
