SYNARD, JEAN
The family of the late Jean Synard (nee Hackett) of St. Bernard's announces her peaceful passing at home on August 8, 2020 at age 70, surrounded by her loving family over the past few months. We admire how she approached her cancer journey with strength, acceptance, and humour. Devoted wife of Jerome Synard, she was glad to have shared 50 years of love, laughter, food, and a big family. We admire how they were there for each other during various health challenges over the past years as they modelled the true meaning of love. She was a wonderful mother who lived for her children&grandchildren and she loved her sons- and daughters-in-law like her own. She will forever be missed by Jacqui (Mike), Jerome (Callie), Clar (Heidi) and Jill (Alan). We will miss your laughter, phone calls, cooking and your wonderful smile. She will also be greatly missed by her 10 grandchildren, all of whom had a special bond with Nanny - Jonathan, Beth, Hayleigh, Marissa, Brooke, William, Nicholas, Allie, Logan, and Lily. As she always said to do, they will forever look up at the moon whenever they miss Nanny. She was also a loving sister and sister-in-law, and leaves the Hackett and Synard families with a big hole to fill that goes beyond missing her amazing Sunday dinners. Always thoughtful and there to help, she will be mourned by her many other friends and relatives. She had a strong faith and especially looks forward to being reunited with her parents Genevieve and Clarence, in-laws Alphonsus and Mercedes, brother Kevin, sister-in-law Juanita, brother-in-law Calvin, niece Roxanne, and nephew Clarence.
