Leaving to mourn with precious and loving memories his wife and soul mate of 49 years of marriage Suzanne; children Max Bungay of Brooks, Alberta, Angela Denty of Boat Harbour & Janice Bungay of Grand Bank; grandchildren Timothy, Tyler, Cody, Ashley, Ethan, Brayden and Samuel; brothers Gordon of Grand Bank, Arch (Beulah) of Seal Cove; sisters Ruby Rideout of Seal Cove & Ada (Chesley) of Seal Cove; sister-in-law Alma Bungay of Grand Bank, plus many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law along with many nieces and nephews plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by Parents Cecil & Olive Bungay, parents-in-law Samuel & Agnes Clements, son-in-law Greg Denty, brother Wes Bungay, sister-in-law Mildred Bungay & brother-in-law Clarence Rideout. Wall loved his life companion Suzanne, after six months of dating were married which lasted for 49 years. His children, grandchildren, especially his only granddaughter Ashley who he called pop's princess, were loved by him dearly. He always said "if I would've known that grandchildren was this wonderful we should of had them first." He worked at the fish plant for 50 years. Wall liked to trout and berry pick when the kids were younger, he especially loved his camouflage. At Christmas time he would always bring home two Christmas trees so he had extra boughs so when he started drilling holes the tree would be fuller. He was so proud of all his grandchildren and loved having them around. He checked on everyone every night to make sure everything was ok and the last thing he would always say on the phone before he hung up was "Love you." He always offered help without question, expecting nothing in return. He has left a hole in our hearts which can never be filled. He will forever be remembered and loved by his family and friends. Family will be accepting visitors in keeping with Covid regulations on Friday, December 31, 2021 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM following alert level 3 guidelines with one family bubble visiting at a time. When entering building you will be required to show proof of vaccination. Please wear mask and sanitize hands on entering and exiting building. Everyone is asked to sign the contact tracing sheet and register to attend funeral service. Together we can do this. CLARKE, Elizabeth
It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth Clarke of Port au Bras announces her passing at US Memorial Hospital, St. Lawrence on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn with precious and loving memories son Brent (Kim) of Burin; grandsons Brandon (Courtney) of Burin and Bradley (Ashley) of Lewin's Cove, great-grandchildren Kaden, Mackenzie and Olivia, careworkers Emily Hodder and Betty Hillier & close friend Florence Trowbridge and many nieces and nephews plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by parents Tom and Alice Brenton, husband Tom, great-granddaughter Elsie, brothers Guy and Johnny Brushett. Elizabeth married Tom and spent her life being mom to her only child Brent who was her pride & joy. She was a devoted mother but when her grandsons were born she excelled at being a grandmother. Then she became a great-grandmother and there are no words to express her joy & happiness. She was truly devoted to her family, they were her everything. Elizabeth was a lifetime member of St. Andrew's Church, she was a strong supporter from baking for her bake sales to participating in concerts. She was one of the favourites in the concert, she was game for anything. She loved to have fun and laugh and always had a story to tell. She operated and ran a store in between raising her son & always being there for her church. Elizabeth was a tiny woman with a big heart and strong personality. She will be missed by so many for her dedication & determination. A woman who never let anything stop her, the world lost a great woman but heaven gained an angel. In keeping with Elizabeth's wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be taken place at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Andrew's building fund. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin. "We listen. We learn. We walk with you."

CUMBEN, Beatrice Meta
It's with heavy hearts that the family of the late Beatrice Meta Cumben of Grand Bank announces her passing away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank on Friday December 24, 2021 at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories: son Tom (Della) of Brooks Alberta, daughter Doris (Jerry) of Too Good Arm, Newfoundland, grandchildren; Kimberley (Jordan) of Brooks Alberta, Michael (Gina) of Fort McMurray Alberta, great grandchildren; Hunter and Rylee of Brooks Alberta, sisters; Edna Drake, Phyllis Walsh (Ray), brother; Lorne (Ann), and sister in law; Eloise Newport. Meta was predeceased by her husband Thomas, parents; Susie & Richard Newport, brothers; Obediah & Ruben Newport, sisters; Susie Walters & Julia Lee, and brothers in law; William Walters, Jacob Lee, & Ernes Drake. Very special friends that were there when she needed them the most; Junior & Roseann Brooks and Marilyn Smith. Plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. It's been said that God only takes the good and I can assure you he got that in Grandmother. To this day I have yet to find a woman as respected as she was. Within the church community alone, I think she impacted more lives than anyone may realize. She gave her all to God as well as others, especially the "young people" as she liked to call them. If you ever visited her house there's two things you could always guarantee you would leave with; a full stomach and money in your pocket. Even as an adult with a job, you never once let me leave your house without sliding "a bit of money" in my pocket. She loved her family dearly and will be sadly missed. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 - "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." When entering building you will be required to show proof of vaccination. Please wear mask and sanitize hands on entering and exiting building. Everyone is asked to sign the contact tracing sheet and register to attend funeral service at the Salvation Citadel Grand bank Please phone the Church Tuesday if you are attending. Together we can do this. There will be a Walk through Visitation following alert level 3 guidelines with one family bubble visiting at a time. Visitation will take place on Tuesday December 28th, 2021 from 2-4PM & 7-9PM. Funeral service to take place at the Salvation Army Citadel on Wednesday December 29, 2021 @ 1:00PM. Inurnment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Grand Bank. Donations in her memory can be made to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund. No flowers by request.
