(1960-2015)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Robert J. Alexander of Marystown announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the age of 54. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are wife Andelynn of 8 years; son Bryson of Marystown; daughters Natasha Alexander of Ontario, and Chantelle Alexander of Alberta; mother Yvonne Oliver of Stephenville Crossing; parents-in-law Patricia & Michael Hanrahan of Marystown; sisters Marilyn (Tom) Ludee of Stephenville Crossing, Carol Ann (Randy) McKay of Stephenville Crossing, and Pam Alexander of Quebec; brothers Jimmy (Mary) Alexander of Stephenville Crossing, and Gerard (Carol Ann) Alexander of Glovertown; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. It is with deep deep sadness that the family of the late MARY FRANCIS EDWARDS (nee Lambe), formerly of Lawn announces her passing at her home in Mount Pearl, on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at the age of 95. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are 7 sons, Reginald (wife Sharon) and their three children Christa, Gillian and Kaitlyn with whom she resided. Len (Kay) of Paradise, NL, Sam (Judy) of Kelowna, BC, Ken (Yvonne) of St. Johns, NL, Steve (Kitty) of Surrey, BC, Tony (Margret) and Luke (Wanda) both of Lawn, NL. Predeceased by daughter; Margaret, parents; Evangeline and Thomas Marsh, brother; Allan, sisters; Nellie Barnes, Ivy Grandy, and Millie Munro. HODDER, WALTER FRANCIS
(1939-2015)

With great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Walter Francis Hodder. He passed suddenly at the age of 75 at St. Clare's Hospital, St. John's, on Monday, July 27, 2015. Walter is predeceased by his wife, Emily and his four sons, Gerald, Glenn, Kenny and Kurt; his parents, Leo and Juanita. He is lovingly remembered by his partner, Louise and her 3 children, Leslie (Viola), Kelly (Albert), Theresa (Doug); as well as, his 4 children, Walter (Debbie), Jody (Lewis), Janet and Barry. He is also loved and will be forever cherished by his siblings; Edward (Dorothy), Douglas (Biney), Maurice (Lucy), Kevin (Elizabeth), Margaret Fewer and Marie Collins (Tom); and his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends. It is with great sadness that the family of Colleen Hodge of St. Lawrence announces her passing at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on July 14, 2015 at the age of 53 years. Colleen was a very dedicated volunteer, actively involved with the Lion's and Lioness Clubs. She worked at Eastern Health. Leaving to mourn with precious memories mother Avelina Fitzpatrick; children Candace Fitzpatrick, Megan Fitzpatrick (Jeff), Curtis Hodge and Jasmine Strang (Colby); grandchildren Mason, Quinn and Baby Norah; sisters Martha, Dale, Donna, Debbie, Mary and Daphne; brothers Fred, Peter and Scott; special friend Martha plus a large circle of family and friends. It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Colin Albert McCarthy (age 48 years), at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, on Monday, July 20, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his dad Tom and mother Theresa, brothers Tom and Brendan and sister Irene. (September 14, 1949 - July 2, 2015)
It is with deep sadness that we, the family of Theresa Pitcher, announce her peaceful passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in the presence of her loving family on July 2, 2015 at the age of 65. Left with fond and loving memories, her husband; Wayne, daughter; Tanya (Brian), grandchildren; Brianna and Ethan, parents; Gordon and Mildred Bungay and brother; Fen (Gertie) and family. She will also be dearly missed by her good friend, Frances, along with her many other friends and relatives. ROCHE, ANNE LYNETTE
Passed peacefully away at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta on July 23, 2015, Anne Lynette Roche of Edmonton, formerly of Burin, Newfoundland. Anne was born June 29, 1965 in St. John's, Newfoundland to Mary Lynette Roche (nee Penney) and Patrick Roche. Her mother Lynette predeceased Anne in April 1996. Anne attended elementary and high school at Burin, graduating in 1982. Anne commenced studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland in the fall of 1982, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in the spring of 1987. Anne worked at the Pater lab at Memorial University researching Human Papillomavirus prior to commencing medical school in the fall of 1990. Anne received her Doctor of Medicine from Memorial in the spring of 1994. Upon completing her internship and residency in family practice at Edmonton, Anne returned to Burin, working as an emergency room physician and eventually becoming Emergency Director at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre. Anne returned to Edmonton in 2001, completing a second residency in emergency medicine in 2002 - shortly thereafter, she began working in the emergency room at the Misericordia Community Hospital. Anne ended her working career as the Site Leader, Emergency Medicine at the Misericordia in February 2015. Anne was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2014, which recurred in February 2015. Her journey through her illness was tough but met with an enduring spirit. Anne recently celebrated her 50th birthday surrounded by family and friends.Anne loved many things including travelling with family and friends, gardening, her cats and shopping. She was especially proud of her nephews Ryan and Michael.Leaving to celebrate her life are her father Patrick, her sisters Suzanne of Toronto and Jacqueline of Bay Roberts, brother in law Craig Moulton and nephews Ryan and Michaelplus many aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues and friends in Canada and the United States. Family receiving friends on Wednesday August 5, 2015 from 2-9 PM. Funeral Mass will take place from St. Patrick's RC Church, Burin on Thursday August 6th, 2015 at 11 AM with inurnment following at RC Cemetery, Penney's Pond. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, the Edmonton Humane Society or a charity of your choice.

(August 29, 1945 - July 21, 2015)

It is with great sadness the family of Ruth Wagg of Burin announces her passing during air transit on July 21, 2015 at the age of 69 years. Leaving to mourn husband Jerry; sons Jamie (Delores) of Fox Cove, Earl Jon (Amanda) of Edmonton and Jeremy (Carla) of Pouch Cove; grandchildren Trevor and Megan; sisters Mary Crouch of Halifax and Linda Magee (Bud) of Moncton plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by brother Earl, Cecil and Donald and brother-in-law Keith Wagg. Resting at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin Wednesday 7-9 pm family only.
