The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour. All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

 

BENNETT, George
(April 6, 1949 - March 9, 2015)

It is with great sadness the family of George Bennett of Port au Bras announces his passing at his residence on March 9, 2015 at the age of 65 years. Leaving to mourn sisters Sarah Drake (John), Elsie Mayo (Eldon) and Rose Pardy (Clarence); 10 nieces; 3 nephews plus a large number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents Isaac and Hilda; niece Valarie and newphew Dean. Cremation has taken place. Funeral time and date to be announced. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin.

BOLAND, Alexander J.
(November 18, 1955 - March 30, 2015)

Passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center, on Monday March 30, 2015 Alexander J. Boland of Fortune, age 59 years. Predeceased by; Arlene, father; Angus Boland, brother; Angus, sister; Cecelia, and grandparents. Leaving to mourn: wife; Rosalind, son; Shawn (Kristy), daughter; Lindsey (Ryan), stepson; Stefan, stepdaughter; Stacey, 1 granddaughter; Amber, 1 grandson; Jack, and mother; Mary Boland. 2 brothers; Brian (Kathy), Peter (Glenda), 9 sisters; Sarah (Ches), Lucy (Kevin), Louise (Tom), Melinda (Freeman), Janet (Wilson), Elsie (Keith), Madglon (Mike), Bernice (Danny), Lucinda (Darren). Public visitation beginning at 3 pm. Then on Wednesday April 01st. Funeral Mass will take place at All Saints Anglican Church on Thursday April 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm. BRENTON, Wayne C.
(September 7, 1947 - March 6, 2015)

It is with great sadness the family of Wayne C. Brenton of Burin announces his passing at Toronto General Hospital on March 6, 2015, at the age of 67 years. Leaving to mourn wife Lillian; daughters Roxanne Taylor (Duane) of Burin and Sharon Mullett (Phil); grandchildren Colin Brenton (Robyne), Cameron Mullett and Evan Mullett; sisters Alberta Broydell, Ruby Taylor and Joan Brenton (Andrew Yewchuk); brothers Frank Brenton (Judy) and Joe Brenton (Violet) plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by brother Clyde and parents Irene and Ernest Brenton. Resting at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 am to 9 pm. It is with great sadness the family of Raymond Butler of Red Harbour announces his passing at the US Memorial Health Center on March 3, 2015, at the age of 78 years. Leaving to mourn wife Jean; daughter Karen Senior (Spencer) of Red Harbour; son Bert Butler of Red Harbour; grandchildren Keith (Danielle) and Bradley (Kyrstle); great grandson Riley; brother Roland Butler (Maude) of Shearstown plus a large circle of other family and friends. 1923-2015

It is with great sadness that the family of the late THERESA CHEESEMAN of Rushoon announces her passing at her home in Rushoon, on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the age of 91. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons, Patrick Cheeseman (Marie), John Cheeseman (Sarah) & Leona Cheeseman (Sandra); daughters, Ellen Theresa Lundrigan (Patrick) and Geraldine Smith (Carl); 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, John Cheeseman; parents, Robert and Theresa Whiffen; brothers, Herbert, Bernard, Robert, Thomas, Joseph, Patrick, John and Leonard. Leaving to mourn husband Harold; sons Dwayne (Metchild) of BC and Dean (Leigh) of Ottawa; grandchildren Arik, Tyler and Jaymie; sister Elsie Crocker (George); sisters-in-law Shirley Smith, Edna Power and Angeline Anstey; brother-in-law Fred Clements plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by parents Winnie and Ernest Anstey; father-in-law Archibald Dicks; son Daryl Dicks; granddaughter Robin Dicks; Alfred Anstey and sister-in-law Jean Clements . (March 18, 1960 - March 14, 2015)

Passed peacefully away at Rockyview Hospital in Calgary, Alberta on March 14, 2015 Ralph Philip Douglas Jr. of Grand Bank, age 54 years. Predeceased by grandparents; Elizabeth Ann, and Isaac Douglas, and Philip and Minnie Downey. Leaving to mourn; wife; Susan, parents; Ralph and May Douglas. 3 sisters; Betty (Jeff), Barbara (Craig), and Michelle (John). 2 nephews; Matthew and Andrew, and 1 Niece Nicole (Justin). 1 great nephew; Liam, and 1 great niece Violet, and a special fur buddy Kiki. Plus a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Cremation has taken place. Public visitation will take place on Friday April 10, 2015 from 2 pm-5 pm, and 7 pm -9 pm. EDWARDS, Carmelita
Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, on Friday, March 20, 2015, after a brief battle with cancer, Carmelita Edwards, of Lawn, aged 64 years. Leaving to mourn her loving sister, Ethel Pierce, Harbour Breton, Special Nephew Donald Skinner and wife Maureen, Carbonear, Sisters in law Ida, Harbour Grace, and Sally, Ontario, special friends Blanche Banfield, Nova Scotia, and Dale Collins Stone (Herb), Burin, nieces, nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends.
