Burin Peninsula Obituaries

The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour. All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

 

BEZEAU, SANDRA G. LUNDRIGAN
1968-2009

It is with great sadness that the family of the late SANDRA G. LUNDRIGAN BEZEAU of Surrey, B.C. formerly of Marystown announce her passing at Surrey, B.C. on Sunday November 22, 2009 at the age of 41. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories mother Gertrude Lundrigan of Marystown; sons Andrew and Sebastian of Surrey, B.C.; grandson Triston; sisters Joanie (John) Farrell of Marystown, and Laura (Glenn) Wong of Alberta; brothers Rupert Lundrigan of St. John's, and Ernest Jr. Lundrigan of Little Bay; plus a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by father Ernest Lundrigan. Resting and Visitation to take place from Wiseman's Funeral Homes in Marystown on Wednesday December 2nd from 1pm - 9pm. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Edward (Linda) of Marystown, John (Susie) of Marystown, Ray (Audrey) of Labrador City, Bob (Judy) of Marystown; daughters Mary (Peter) Tobin of St. John's, Meline (Keith) Inkpen of Lewins Cove, Rose (Harold) Foote of Burin Bay Arm, and Gladys (Kevin) Peddle of Red Harbour; brothers Richard Pittman of Labrador City, and Robert Pittman of Arizona; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by husband Richard and daughter Christina. HATCHER, Bridget Nora
(February 1, 1923 - November 24, 2009)

Passed peacefully away at Fortune on Tuesday, November 24th, 2009, Bridget Nora Hatcher, age 86 years. Predeceased by parents Benjamin and Rose Hatcher, sisters Mary Edwards and Frances Ayers. Leaving to mourn: son Freeman Hatcher, Special Friend Edna Ayers of Fortune, with whom she resided. Also, a large circle of nephews and nieces and other friends. Remains resting at All Saints Anglican Church Fortune on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Funeral Mass will take place at 11am on Saturday at All Saints Church. Interment to follow at Mount Cecilia Cemetery, St. Lawrence. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.

1947-2009

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Carrie; daughters Colleen Kelly (John Beck) of Marystown, Carol Kelly of St. John's, Caroyn Kelly (Myron Rose) of Fort McMurray, AB, and Kimberly Kelly (Gavin Gaulton) of Marystown; grandson Kyle; sisters Jeanette Lundrigan, Mary Liz Emberely, Hilda Kilfoy, Kathleen Wells, and Carmelita Pomeroy; brothers Matthew Kelly, Norbert Kelly, and Anthony Kelly; mother-in-law Annie Brushett; plus a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by parents Gerard and Gertrude Kelly, and brothers Kenneth and Clarence. Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Monday, November 23rd, 2009 Myrel John King of Lamaline, age 92 years. Predeceased by parents George and Mary King, brothers Leslie, William, Fred, Clyde and Nicholas, sister Elsie. Leaving to mourn: wife Margaret of Lamaline, 4 daughters Marion of Fortune, Barbara Harnett (Gordon), Eva King (Lloyd), Beatrice Lockyer (James) all of Lamaline, son Walter (Patricia) of Lamaline, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at Saint Mary's Anglican Church Lamaline on Monday from 7pm - 9pm, and Tuesday and Wednesday from 2pm - 4pm; 7pm - 9pm. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 26th at 2pm from Saint Mary's Anglican Church, Lamaline. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Lamaline. - Passed suddenly away at St John's on Thursday, November 5th, at age 44. Predeceased by his dad, Eli Thornhill, in 1989. Leaving to mourn his mom, Emma Thornhill; sister Thelma Williams (Albert); nephews: Stephen Williams (Lisa) and Jonathan Williams (Sarah); great-niece Julia Williams; extended family of Cecila & Don Earle, their sons- Donnie (Raelene) and Wayne (Jennifer), and grandsons- DJ, Austin and Alex; a large circle of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and Special Friends at the Vera Perlin and Special Olympics. Funeral Service was conducted by Rev. Lewis E. Crewe from Grand Bank United Church on Tuesday, November 10th at 11am. Inurnment followed at the United Church Cemetery Grand Bank. Organist was Betty Rogers.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Barrett's Funeral Home, Mt. Pearl and Warren's Funeral Home Grand Bank. "Where Dedicated People Care."
