Susan (Hatcher) Martin passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex. Born in Rose Blanche, Nfld., she was the daughter of the late Rubin and Mary (Burt) Hatcher. Susan is survived by one daughter, Joan (Gerald) McKinlay, Glace Bay; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; also survived by one brother, Philip Chislett, Glace Bay. Susan was predeceased by her husband, Freeman in 1980, two brothers, Thomas and Montford and three sisters, Annie, Naomi and Mary. There will be no visitation by her request. Cremation has taken place. A private family committal service to be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Glace Bay with Canon Fev Arnold officiating. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay.
