84, It is with great sadness that we, the family announce the passing of their mother, Lillian Mae Boyd in her 84th year, of 47 Mitchell Ave., Dominion, Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Salmon Cove, N.L., Lillian was the daughter of the late William and Jillian (Parsons) Vaters. Lillian was a registered nurse and worked for many years for MacGillivray Guest Home in Sydney.

She was the loving mother of Allister, Harold, Fred and Donnie. She will be much missed by her brothers, Clarence and Ralph; sisters, Geraldine, Ann and Fern; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth Taylor and her second husband, Douglas Boyd, son, David, daughter, Ethel and sister, Viola. Visitation for the late Lillian Boyd will be held Friday, Jan. 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home and Chapel, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520. Funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 21 in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Eric Lynk officiating. Interment will take place at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date. BUDDEN, Irene Maude
1910-2006/ DONKIN

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Irene Maude Budden of Donkin. Irene passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006. Born in Lumsden, NL, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Annie(Stagg) Budden. She was a member of St. Luke's United Church, Donkin. She taught school in Newfoundland until her marriage then she moved to Donkin in 1946 with her husband to start a new life.

She is survived by her son, Eric; grandchildren, Helga, Heidi and Mark; and great grandson, William. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Fred, brothers, Lester and Sam. There will be no visitation for Mrs. Budden. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Luke's United Church, Donkin, with Rev. Laura Hunter officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations in Irene's memory may be made to St. Luke's United Church, Donkin. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay.


DEARING, Hannah Pearl (King), 98
LOUISBOURG

It is with great sadness that we, the family announce the passing of Hannah Pearl Dearing of Louisbourg, which occurred Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Perry's Cove, NL, she was a daughter of the late William and Sarah "Belle" (Antle) King. Hannah was a long-standing member of First United Church, Louisbourg. She was a member of the LOBA and the Orange Lodge.

She is survived by two daughters, Sarah Belle Cresine, Louisbourg and Cyneth (Gordon) Hutt, Havenside; one sister, Anne Mae MacInnis, Port Hawkesbury; and one brother, Leonard King, MacIntyre Lake. She is also survived by grandchildren, Cora Cresine Adshead, Brenda Cresine (Gary) MacDonald, Arthur L. (Anne) Hutt, Bonnie Hutt (Brian); great-grandchildren, Stephanie L. Adshead, Dennis R. Adshead,Trevor Hutt, Lori Hall and Lindsay Hutt; great great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Adshead, Logan Thompson Adshead, Ryan Thompson, Allison Hall, Brandan Hall, Cameron Hutt and Kyle Hutt. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Dearing, an infant son, daughter, Alfreda MacDonald, sister, Cyneth MacIntyre, five brothers, Lloyd, Samuel, Edward, Michael and Ananais King.Visitation for the late Hanna Pearl Dearing will take place today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at First United church, Louisbourg. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at First United Church, with Mr. Darius Powell, LMPiT officiating. Burial to follow in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. HUNT, Mary Dorothy Hunt, 79

We regret to announce the passing of Mary Hunt, Louisbourg, which occurred Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at the Glace Bay Healthcare Complex, Glace Bay. Born Sept. 7, 1926, Harbour Breton, NL, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Frances (Herritt) Perry. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William Hunt, Louisbourg; daughter, Frances Hurley, Brampton Ont.; son, Larry (Norma) Hunt, Albert Bridge; brothers, John, Louisbourg, Stanley, Harbour Breton, N.L.; sister, Anne Perry, Saint John, N.B. Also survived by grandchildren, Aaron (Jolene), Amy (Doug), Kelly, Liam, Stanley(Melanie), Shawn, Tracey (Charlie), Jamie and Perry; great-grandchildren, Jamie, Jarod, Jorja, Haley, Logan, Keigan, Ethan, Morgan and Jaiah. Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by son, William, brothers, James, Harold and twin sister, Elizabeth in infancy. Visitation will take place Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in Louisbourg. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, at St. Bartholomew's Church in Louisbourg with Rev. Fred Rhymes officiating. Burial to follow at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Bartholomew's Cemetery Fund, Louisbourg.
