GREEN, Jessie Jessie was a faithful (former) member of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, North Sydney, and a current member of St. Paul's Evangelical Church in Bridgewater, NS. Jessie was a long-time member of the St. John's Anglican Church Altar Guild in North Sydney and a strong supporter of any events held at both St. John's and St. Paul's. Known for her baking of bread, knitting of dish cloths, and making of Mars Bar squares, Jessie loved to feed others and no belly left her table empty. Her hospitality knew no bounds. She loved her family and spending time with family and friends. She loved the moon, stars and sun, hot tea, playing cards, going to church and in recent months her pussycat named 'Luna'. She is survived by her son, Ford (Valerie Kean), Baddeck; daughters, Jane (William) Standing, PEI, Linda Moore (Norm Lanciaux), Bridgewater and Sandra (Geoffrey) Schnare, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Donald (Vivian) Standing, Derek Standing, Amanda Standing, Cathy (Armand) Steenbeek, Cheryl Moore (Scott Power), Melissa (Derek) Cogswell, Donald Green, Patrick (Sheena Moore) Green, Joshua (Alisha Hosein) Green and Devin (Kassidy Eisnor) Schnare; also 11 great-grandchildren, Cameron (Allie), Emma (Jeremy), Jacob, Tristen (Payton), Victoria (Keith), Cassandra (Chad), Jaydia, Samuel (Olivia), Jewel, Ethan, Sophia, and Anderson; sister-in-law, Rosie Cake, as well as many dear nieces and nephews. Jessie was predeceased by her husband, Enos Ford Green Sr.; her brother Harold (Blanche) Peters; sister Mary (Donald) MacIver; half-brother, James (Beatrice) Stone; infant daughter, Gladys, and stillborn baby girl; son-in-law, Larry Moore; daughter-in-law, Patricia Green; granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Moore; great-granddaughter, Jessica Maria Cogswell; sisters-in-law, Lizzie (George) Sitland and Mary (George) Miles; brother-in-law, Richard, (Shirley) Green, and brother-in-law, Abraham Cake. Thank you to all staff at Mahone Nursing home. Your wonderful care of our Mother, and kindness extended to us, her Children, will never be forgotten. A public funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, April 16, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Bridgewater, Rev. Paul Jensen officiating (COVID-19 Maximum Capacity in church). In lieu of flowers, donations in mom's memory may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, Alzheimer's Society of Canada, or charity of choice. Thank you to the staff of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, especially Unit 4B, as well as his sons, Clay and Cole for their compassionate care. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Terry was a very dedicated contributor to the SPCA, therefore, memorials to the SPCA in his memory, would be appreciated. Words of comfort can be sent to the family at www.sydneymemorialchapel.ca or e-mailed to sydneymemorialchapel@ns.sympatico.ca OZON, Joseph Prosper Born in St. George's, Newfoundland, to Beatrice and Louis Ozon, Joe spent his younger years in St. George's, Newfoundland and in St. Pierre et Miquelon, the home of the Ozons. Both Newfoundland and St. Pierre gave Joe a foundation built on the importance of family, devotion to God, a love of the good things in life, and the love of hearing and/or telling a great story. He was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Montreal Canadiens, and loved golfing. He was especially proud of his only grandson, Andrew. As a young man, Joe worked for Canada Customs. After starting out in Corner Brook, he was stationed in Gander dealing with transatlantic flights, and later he worked on the Ernest Harmon US Air Force Base in Stephenville, NL, where he met Margaret Delaney, whom he married in 1957. Joe and Marg moved to Sydney in 1970, raising their family in the South End. They had 60 happy years together until Marg's passing in 2018. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses who provided such good care to Joe over the years. Donations in Joe's memory can be made to a charity of your choice. "Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand." A private family funeral will be held. ZAGWOLSKI, Jeanette Mary (Cormier) She is survived by her husband, Stephen 'Buddy'; son, Stephen Jr. (Teresa); daughter, Laura McKnight (Greg); grandchildren, Melissa, Spencer and Tim; her brother, Gerard Cormier, Sydney; two sisters, Dola Colford (Leon) and Marie Solomon (Len), Kitchener, ON; sisters-in-law, Elaine Ryan (Frank), Halifax, Linda Durand (Ben), Lower Sackville; brothers-in-law, David Benvie (Linda), Sydney, Frank Noonan, Middle Musquodoboit, NS, as well as many nieces and nephews who all love her dearly. Jeanette was predeceased by her parents, Dennis and Julie Ann (Doucette) Cormier; her siblings, Lucy Noonan, Harold and Edmund Cormier; sisters-in-law, Helen, Georgette and Denise; mother-in-law, Alice Benvie, and brother-in-law, Robert Zagwolski. Family was at the center of Jeanette's life and she delighted in hosting family gatherings. She loved visiting her hometown of Sydney, having lunch by the water and watching the sun set on Sydney Harbour. Jeanette was a kind, loving and gentle soul, who will be missed by so many. Our loss will be Heaven's gain. Jeanette's wishes were to be cremated and graveside services will take place at a later date in Forest Haven, Sydney, Nova Scotia.
