In her day-to-day life, Georgina loved completing crosswords, watching the latest episodes of Coronation Street with her daughter, and spending evenings shopping for her next trinket. She also enjoyed socializing and participating on the Donkin Legion Mixed Dart Team. Georgina was loved and will be missed by many family members, in-laws, and her extended Flynn family. While we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that her memory will forever live on in our hearts. Our sincere appreciation goes out to Patsy Leblanc and Olga Flynn, for their compassion during Georgina's final hours. We cannot thank you enough for the comfort you provided during a difficult time. Additionally, we would like to extend a special acknowledgment to Billy Huntington, long-time neighbour. Your unwavering kindness over the years meant the world to her. You were more than a neighbour, you became a dear friend. Cross, Cyril Cyril was First Mate on the SS Baccalieu for many years, and served with CN Marine, then Marine Atlantic. He retired in 1985 from Marine Atlantic as Operations Supervisor with 44 years of dedicated service. At 100 years of age, he found great humour in the fact that he had been receiving pension longer than most peoples' careers. Cyril was a quiet man by nature, and a true gentleman. He was an avid reader, loved to watch sports and politics on TV, and enjoyed family gatherings on holidays for many years in the family home on May Street. He will be dearly missed by his family. According to Cyril's wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation or church service. A private family memorial and burial will be held at a later time under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. The family would like to thank Dr. Patrick O'Grady, the Palliative Care Team (especially Julia) and VON for enabling Cyril to remain at home for his final days. Acts of kindness are encouraged and appreciated. She carried herself with style and grace complimented by her radiant smile and beauty. Friends and family will always remember Sheila's positive, upbeat attitude, inspiring nature and courage. Sheila is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Janice (Ray) Mahar, Sydney River; son, Joseph Callahan (Beth Wedgewood), New Victoria, NS; stepdaughters, Dawn (JP) Danko, Hamilton, ON and Melanie (Dennis) Horvat, Comox, BC.; grandchildren, Evan, Steven, Brooke, Sadie and Isaac; brother-in-law, Hector Roberts, Lark Harbour, NL; and nephew, Allan Roberts.
