A past member of the Masonic Lodge of Hearts Content. Loving mother of the late Edward (Ted), Florrie Fogwill, Ralph, Phyllis Oldford and Bonnie Beattie. Loving grandmother of Gwendolyn, David, Wayne, Kathleen, Robert, Candy, Alexander, Jerry, James, Patricia, Douglas, Christina, Teresa and Steven. Fondly remembered by 17 great-grandchildren. MOORE, Edward - It is with deep sadness that the family of the Edward Moore announce his passing on July 3, 1997 at his home in Winnipeg, MB, following a courageous battle with cancer. Ed was born in Bay de Verde, NF and joined the Canadian Armed Forces at the age of 20. Over a span of 32 years he served on many bases across Canada, leaving his mark and making many life long friends. Ed retired in 1991 and he and Polly then settled in Winnipeg to be with their girls. Leaving to mourn are his beloved wife Polly (Kelly) formerly of St. John's, NF; daughters Suzanne (Vidya) Singh and Sandra (Tim) Ammeter; precious granddaughter Serena Singh; his sisters: Ellen (Ted) Poirier of San Antonia, TX and Mary (Ed Moore) Broderick of Ottawa, ON and numerous other relatives and friends. MORGAN, Clarence Roy - Passed away suddenly but peacefully at his home after a lengthy indisposition on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1995, one week prior to his 77th birthday. Mr. Clarence R. Morgan of Bay Roberts. Leaving with many happy memories his wife of 47 years Annie (nee Mercer), Bay Roberts; son John Clarence T.; daughter-in-law of two weeks Natalie (nee Wheeler), Carter's Cove. Mr. Morgan was born at Bay Roberts on Oct. 7, 1918 to John and Mary (nee Kingsley) Morgan. By the age of 20, Mr. Morgan had completed high school at Snowden Hall, Bay Roberts, graduated from Memorial College, St. John's and received a certificate of Proficiency in radiotelegraphy, issued by the Minister of Posts and Telegraphs in 1938. Mr. Morgan volunteered in the Royal Air Force, serving overseas from 1941-46. He saw action with the Bomber Command and was shot down in the Battle of Britain, sustaining injuries which afflicted him for the remainder of his life. He was honourably discharged with the rank if Flight Lieutenant. Mr. Morgan was employed by the Canadian Marconi Company as wireless operator both before and after his war service, being posted at Cabot Tower, St. John's and in Labrador at Port Hope Simpson and Domino. In the early 1950's, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan established a retail business in their hometown of Bay Roberts, which today is managed by their son. Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 29 at Central United Church and Cemetery with Rev. Silas Rogers officiating, assisted by Pastor Noble. Pall bearers were Gordon Littlejohn, Eric Norman, Stanley Snook, William Crosbie Jr. Donald Dawe and Harold Wheeler. Funeral Director was Carl Moore. Included in the large congregation paying their respects were brothers of Masonic Lodge McKay, Orange Lodge, Royal Black Preceptory and Canadian Legion. MULLINS, Randy - Passed peacefully away on Monday, October 23, 1995, Randy Mullins, loving son of William and Elizabeth (Murphy). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his parents: William and Elizabeth; sisters: Donna (Ron Fleming), Marilyn (Dave Turpin), Debbie (Ab Taylor); brother Wayne (Rita); nieces and nephews: Rhonda, Shane and Darren Fleming, Craig, Krista and Deanne Mullins, Ashley and Megan Taylor; special friends: Jeff, Joanne, Ruth, Tony, Ruth, Connie, Marvelle and Brenda; and a number of special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, from 10 a.m. - 10p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Mass to be held at Corpus Christi Church at 9:30 a.m. Thursday October 26th, 1995. MULLINS, Rebecca (Thornhill) - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Oct. 5, 1990, Rebecca Mullins (Thornhill) of St. Luke's Home, formerly of Rencountre East, Fortune Bay, in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband Abner in 1970. Leaving to mourn four daughters: Dora and husband Sid Lake of Milltown, Bay d'Espoir, Jane and husband Fred Guest, St John's, Elsie and husband Jerry Hall of Summerville S.C., Julie of St. John's; two sons: Ray and wife Beatrice, Dartmouth, N.S., and Jim and wife Sheila of Port aux Basques; one sister Ella Herridge of Escasoni, St John's; two brothers: Frank and Wallace Thornhill, both of Grand Bank; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; also many special nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., until noon Monday. Funeral service to be held from the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Craigmiller Ave. on Monday Oct. 7, 1990 at 2 p.m., with interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. MULLINS, Wilfred J. - passed peacefully away at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls, December 8, 1989, age 89, (formerly of Buchans). Leaving to mourn daughters: Daphne (Mrs. Mac Blackwood) Grand Falls, Jean, Toronto, Betty (Mrs. Rex Primmer), Gander, Margaret (Mrs. David Simms) Ottawa; sons: Jack and Steve at Toronto, Jerry at Ottawa; thirteen grandchildren, also a large circle of dear relatives and friends. Resting at Holy Trinity Anglican Chapel, Grand Falls until Sunday, and then at Carnell's Memorial Chapel, Freshwater Road, St. John's. Funeral on Monday, December 11th from St. Mary's Church. - Mullins Wilfred J., 8 Dec. 1989
