He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife: Muriel; children: Madonna (Dr. Bhushan Sennik), Georgetown, ON, Richard, St. Alban's, NL, Julia Horncastle, St. Alban's, NL, Genevieve (Peter Tremblett), Head of Bay d'Espoir, NL, Martin, Cold Lake, AB, Claude (Cindy), Norbert, Clayton, all of St. Alban's, NL & Jacqueline (Paul Young), Codroy Valley, NL; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son: Gerard; brother: Valentine; sister: Mary Agnes. The funeral service was held on Saturday January 28, 2012 at 11 am at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban's with Father Edward Brophy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban's.
