Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center at Harbour Breton on Sunday, November 29, 2009, Mr. Vincent Joseph Baker, age 85 years of Harbour Breton. Leaving to mourn his loving family: 4 daughters, Elizabeth (Ambrose, Sr.) at Harbour Breton, Mary (Joseph) at Terrenceville, Barbara (Gerald) and Claudia (Jim) both at Harbour Breton; 9 sons, Vincent, Jr., John, Edward (Doris), and Jim all at Harbour Breton, Norman at Nova Scotia, Silas (Wanda), Joe (Judy), Daniel (Millie) and Lenus (Patricia) all at Harbour Breton; 37 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; one sister, Gertie Whittle (John) at Harbour Breton plus a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by his wife, Julia, in 1994; son, Peter; daughter, Jane; grandson, Vincent Jr.; 2 brothers, John and Jim; 3 sisters, Jenny, Minnie and Lucy. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at 10:30 am from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church with Father Tom officiating. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery at Harbour Breton. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

Passed peacefully away at the Central Newfoundland Health Care Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on Monday, November 16, 2009, Mr. Garfield Lawrence, age 77 years of Mose Ambrose. Leaving to mourn his loving family-- wife, Sarah (Sadie); very special niece, Frances Learning (Ross) at St. John's; special nephew, Jerry Snook at Mose Ambrose; one brother, Lenus (Ann) at St. Jacques; 3 sisters, Velma Scott at Ramea, Alice Blagdon at Harbour Breton and Joan Sheppard (Harold) at Wreck Cove; one brother in law, John Snook (Mary) at Mose Ambrose; sisters in law, Minnie Snook at Mose Ambrose, Polly Jo Hickey-Lawrence at Harbour Breton, and Gladys Lawrence at Mose Ambrose plus a number of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at St. Paul Anglican Church, Mose Ambrose. Funeral service will be held from St. Thomas Anglican Church in English Harbour West at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 19, 2009 with Rev. Peter Windover officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery in Mose Ambrose. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.

Funeral service to be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 7, 2009, from St. Saviour's Anglican Church at Hermitage with Rev. Charles Harris officiating. Leaving to mourn his loving family: 2 daughters, Janet and Samantha and Family in Nova Scotia; son, Nathan Bungay and Family in Brooks, AB; 5 grandchildren and step-daughter, Sarah and her three children and Family; girlfriend, Velma Spencer and Family; mother, Myrtle Spencer at Harbour Breton; brothers, James (Charlene) and Chloe at Harbour Breton and Bob in Kelligrews; 3 sisters, Norma Spencer (James) and Family, Tracy Spencer and daughter, Miranda, all at Calgary, AB, and Gertie Kanes (Ches) and Family at Port aux Basques; 2 special people, Angus and Norma Vallis and 2 special friends, Raymond Skinner (Charlene) and Jim Pierce (Goretta) and families, all at Harbour Breton, plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his father, John Matthew Spencer in 1990. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 16, at 2:00 pm from St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in Harbour Breton with Rev. STEWART, Blanche

Leaving to mourn her loving family: daughter, Mary Stone (Alan) at Burgeo; daughter in law, Helen Stewart at Carbonear, sons, Donald (Pat) and Boyce (Alice) all at Harbour Breton, daughters, Ernestine Emberley (Gary) at Grand Bank, Sandra Budgell (Jack) at Gander, Pansy Blackmore (Tom Green) at Harbour Breton, and Jocelyn Power (Mike) at Tors Cove, 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, one sister, Marie Mills at Lavock, Ont., plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by husband, John, son, Albert, grandson, Craig, son in law, Earl, brothers, Max and Calvin Snow plus other relatives. Leaving to mourn her loving family: husband, Paul, 4 sons; Gus, Gerard (Daphene), Dominic, and Clyde (Gale), all at Conne River, 6 daughters; Aggie, Marriette(George), all at Conne River, Bernadette (Johnny) at St. John's, Rosie (Joe) at Conne River, Maggie (James) at Toronto and Josephine (Wayne) at Conne River, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, one brother, Cass Benoit plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by daughter, Cordelia, and granddaughter Erica Stride. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 14 at 10:00 am from St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church in Conne River with Father Adaza officiating. Predeceased by his wife, Winnie, 3 brothers; Reginald, Robert and James and brother-in-law, Eric Taylor. Funeral service will take place on Monday, November 30, at 11:00 am from St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in Harbour Breton with Rev. Colbourne officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.
