HOWELL, Janet - Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizens Home, Carbonear on Saturday; August 30, 2008, Mrs. Janet Howell of Carbonear, age 88 years. Predeceased by husband Harry Howell and parents Augustus & Mary Ann Oates. Left with fond and loving memories are her son Ken (Cathie) Howell; daughters Isabell (Howard) Worthman, Janet (Jim) Tetford, June (Rayfield) Dalley, Claudette Priddle, Harriet Short, Maxine Clarke and Sybil Howell; sisters Janie Laing, Dulsie Snow and Maxine Oates; brother Winston Oates; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a large number of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held at Bethany United Church and cemetery, Carbonear Tuesday, Sept. 2. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Slade's Funeral Homes, serving Carbonear, Bay Roberts and areas. Donations may be made in her memory to Daffodil Place. Trickett of St. John's formerly LeGrow (nee Moores) born at Adams Cove on November 1, 1919. Left with many fond and loving memories are her nieces: Donna (Charlie) Taylor and Diane (Noel) Duff; brother-in-law: Jim Best; sister-in-law: Olive Moores and her family; also leaving to mourn are her stepchildren: Ross (Bernadette) Trickett, Doreen (Harris) Penney and Ruby Parsons; also a number of other relatives and friends.
