Passed away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, Marjorie Davis of Harbour Grace, age 97 years. Predeceased by husband: John Gault; son: Robert; parents: Robert and Beatrice Davis and brother: Charles. Left to mourn, son: David, Harbour Grace; brother: Harold, Milton, Ontario; also a number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Rev. Moses Tucker conducted the Funeral Service took place on Friday, December 13 from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Harbour Grace. Interment took place in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace. Donations in her memory may be made to the St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery Fund. Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, St. John's on Friday, December 6, 2013, Bridget A. Johnson of Northern Bay, age 93 years. Predeceased by husband: John; son: John; daughter: Mercedes; brothers: Ronald, Michael, Alphonsus, Cyril, William and Thomas; sister: Mary Aidan. Left to mourn, six daughters: Mary Sooley, Ontario, Regina (Mark) Fardy, Sydney, NS, Bernice (David) Johnson, Northern Bay, Patricia (Walter) Badcock, Goulds, Stella Johnson, Northern Bay and Bernadette (Frederick) Bursey, Mount Pearl; three sons: Dominic (Phyllis), PEI, Aidan (Beverley), Northern Bay and Phillip (Donna), Northern Bay; son-in-law: Barry Sellars, Mount Pearl; twenty grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law: Elizabeth Howell, Northern Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Fr. Frank Aylward conducted the Funeral Mass on Monday, December 9 from Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, Northern Bay. Interment took place in the Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Northern Bay. Donations in her memory may be made to Corpus Christi R.C. Church, Maintenance and Cemetery Fund. Passed peacefully away at his late residence, Bay Roberts on Monday, December 09, 2013, Mr. James D. Mercer, aged 83 years. Predeceased by parents Isaac and Janet Mercer, wife Bertha (Deering) Mercer, sister Evelyn (Joseph) Fellows, brother-in-law Allistair Shute. Leaving to mourn his wife Ethel (Noseworthy) Mercer, son Isaac (Bernice) Mercer, daughters: Jean (Cyril) Jacobs, Mae (Cyril) Boone, Paula (Albert) Snow; sister Mae Shute; grandchildren: Jeffrey (Leah), Christa, Megan, Lori (Wayne) Brian (Carrie), Jamie, Jennifer (Mark), Matthew (Laura); great grandchildren: Jack, Isaac, Samuel; Also the Deering family, the Butt and Noseworthy families and special friend Andrew Butt. Rested at Moore's Funeral Home, Bay Roberts. Funeral Service took place on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 2 p.m from Central United Church and Cemetery, Bay Roberts. Donations were made to the Central United Church.

NOSEWORTHY, Sandra May

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, December 29, 2013, Sandra May Noseworthy of Harbour Grace, age 66 years. Predeceased by mother: Elsie May Yetman. Left to mourn, husband: John 'Jack'; two sons: Christopher and Glynn (Georgina), both of Harbour Grace; two granddaughters: Ashley and Julie; one brother-in-law: Donald (Alfreda) Noseworthy, Whitby, ON; three sisters-in-law: Doreen (George) French and Bernice (Jerome) McGrath, both of Harbour Grace and Linda Whalen (Steven, deceased), Riverhead, Harbour Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Rev. Moses Tucker conducted the funeral service on Wednesday, January 1 from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Harbour Grace. Interment was in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or MS Society.
