REYNOLDS, Nellie - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, Nellie Reynolds of Carbonear, age 81 years. Predeceased by: husband: Gerald; two infant children; daughter: Helen. Left to mourn, two daughters: Shirley (Jean Guy), Quebec, Carmel (Joseph) Fitzsimons, St. Catherines, ON; seven sons: David (Violet) and Marvin (Violet), both of Carbonear, Gerard, Frederick (Anita), Kevin (Janet) and Carl (Maritess), all of Toronto, ON and Paul (Grace), Whitby, ON; nineteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; son-in-law: Allan Mousseau, Toronto, ON; one step-brother: Gerald Barron, King's Cove; three step-sisters: Anne, Grand Falls-Windsor, Madonna Snow, Summerville and Theresa (Bill) Murphy, King's Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Monsignor E.T. Bromley conducted the Funeral Mass on Friday, February 3 at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Carbonear. Interment was in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carbonear. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear. RICE, Charlotte -Born: October 2nd, 1912 Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear Hospital on January 23, 2012, Charlotte Rice (Mommy Charlotte) of Red Head Cove, aged 98 years. Predeceased by her husband, Thomas, parents, John and Mary Josephine, grandsons, Thomas McCarthy and Gary Rice and great grandson, Kyle Snelgrove. Precious mother of Edmund, Mary, Bren (Margaret), Joe (Margaret), Helen (Billy), and Bob (Marie), she also leaves with wonderful memories a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends.Funeral services were held at the Assumption Parish in Bay de Verde on January 27, 2012. Interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Bay de Verde.

SCHWARZ, Gerry - Passed suddenly away at his residence on Monday, January 2, 2012, Gerry Schwarz of Harbour Grace, age 76 years. Predeceased by parents: Carlos and Margarete Marie Schwarz. Left to mourn partner: Ken Haire; his adopted family, sister-in-law: Alice Haire and her children: Dawn (Pete), Jackie (Wade), Michelle (Dave), Danette (Dave) and Jerry (Trudy); very dear friends: David Kelland and Gary Tucker, both of Conception Bay South; also a very large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. A celebration of Gerry's life will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Baccalieu Trail SPCA. THOMS, Frank - Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, Frank Thoms of Carbonear, age 60 years. Predeceased by parents: Francis and Phyllis; parents-in-law: Thomas and Mamie Tobin. Left to mourn, wife: Carmelita; two sons: Jeremy and Chris, both of Labrador City; two brothers: Phil (Sheila), Ontario and Chris (Linda), St. John's; one sister: Diane Hunt (Eric Squires), Victoria; brothers-in-law: Bill (Trudy) Tobin and Guy (Carolyn) Tobin, both of Labrador City, Elroy (Donna) Tobin, St. Lawrence and Bob (Sherry) Tobin, Lewins Cove; sisters-in-law: Judy (Kevin) Pittman and Veronica (Andy) Hillier, both of St. Lawrence, Mildred (Dale) Cox, St. John's and Anita (Fedelis) Edwards, Prince Rupert, BC; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Brian Colbourne conducted the funeral service on Friday, January 27 at Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment was in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association of NL.
