Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, May 3, 2013, Eva M. Ash of Victoria, age 93 years. Predeceased by husband: Baden; parents: Francis and Cecelia Collins; five sisters and four brothers. Left to mourn, daughter: Patricia (Kermit) Bragg, Victoria; three granddaughters: Michelle (Shawn), Dana and Jo-Lynn (Kirk); six great-grandchildren: Brandon, Noah, Kyle, Maria, Logan and Mason; brothers-in-law: Wilfred Ash, California and Isaac Caravan, Nova Scotia; special niece: Joan (Clinton) Peterson, Colorado; special nephew: John (Stella) Baxtrom, Tilton; special friend and caregiver: Debbie Penney, Salmon Cove; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Karen Thorne conducted the funeral service on Sunday, May 5 at the United Church, Victoria. Predeceased by husband: Eric; parents: William and Elizabeth Antle; brothers: Jim, Joshua, Art and Obediah; sisters: Jessie, Lillian, Lena and Sadie; sister-in-law: Shirley Antle. Left to mourn, one daughter: Sheila (Rodney) Sheppard, Harbour Grace; two brothers: Eleazer Antle, St. John's and Frank (Madeline) Antle, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by Stepson; Robert Parson, brother-in-law Ralph Neil, Sisters; Jessie (Abel) Stratton, Edith (Frank) Greening, Ida (Roy) French, Myrtis (John) King, Brothers; Chesley (Muriel), Stanley (Elsie), Allan (Olive), William (Ida). Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Mrs. Hazel Earle (Parsons, nee Snow), currently a patient at the Miller Centre, St. John's. Stepsons David (Inge) Parsons, George (Mary) Parsons, Tom (Beverley) Parsons. Step daughter-in-law; Peggy Parsons, Sister; Huldah Neil, Step grandchildren; Jamie, Lisa, Bonnie, Michael, Vickie, Rebecca, Jennifer, George, Tommy and Robert. 16 step great-grandchildren, and a large circle of other relatives and family. Rev'd Dean Sellars conducted the funeral service at Trinity United Church, Shearstown on Friday, May 10, 2013. Interment was at Trinity United Church, Shearstown. of Victoria passed away peacefully at his residence after a lengthy battle with cancer on Thursday, May 30, 2013. Mr. King was 69 years old. He leaves to mourn his loving family wife Lorraine King, son Curtis (Patti) King, daughter Amanda Van Aswegan, granddaughter Mickayla and Niah King, grandson Tristen Van Aswegan, sister Lorena (Sam) Smith, sister-in-law Gaye Prysiazniuk, brother-in-law Larry (Velma) Ladubec. Predeceased by parents Jabez and Alice King. The family received relatives and friends at Slade's Funeral Home, Powell Drive, Carbonear, on Sunday, June 9, 2013. TURNER, Joan

Joan Turner (Penney)
of Carbonear, NL, passed away in Texas with her loving family, from advanced stage pancreatic cancer. Predeceased by her sisters Mildred, Nellie, Mary and brother Ken. Her surviving sister Marion passed away 5 days after Joan. Leaving to mourn daughters: Brenda (Edward) Paramore and Terry Cashmer (David Bigham) living in Texas; sons Brad Turner and Bruce Turner living in Foxboro; Grandchildren: Geni Castaneda (Pete); Jessica DeRoche (Michael); Kera Turner (Heath Bonnet); Great-grandchildren: Anicia and Geneva Castaneda; Preslee Bonnet: Brother Jim Penney, her special friend Eric Mercer who Joan shared some wonderful times with, as well as nieces, Patsy Squires and Susan Martin and nephew Paul Drake (her Newfoundland family) and many other nieces and nephews. A special thanks to all her friends and a special thank you to her friends and neighbors Joan and Reg Parsons, Jennie Northcott, Carolyn and Dennis Antle, who looked after her home and "Sweetie" while Joan was in Texas with her family, and her Thursday night card club friends she enjoyed so much.
