Predeceased by parents: Charles and Maryann; sisters: Mary Louise, Mabel, Elizabeth, Doris and Hannah. Former employee of John Rorke & Sons and Saunders, Howell & Company, Carbonear. Predeceased by her parents, John (1959) and Alethia (1941), her husband Raymond (Sept. 7, 1997) and four siblings, Florence (1979), Annie (1987), Margaret (1969) and Edward (2005). Left with fond and loving memories are her four children, John (Margaret), Mount Pearl, Ray (Olga), St. John's, Pat, St. John's and Randy (Hughena), St. John's; seven grand-children, Christine, Michelle, Geoffrey, Carmen, Sheldon, Kaitlin and Michael; five great-grandchildren, Marcus, Ryan, Janelle, Shane and Ethan. THOMS, William J. - Of Carbonear who passed away peacefully at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Thursday, September 28, 2006 aged 83 years old. Predeceased by parents: James and Elizabeth Thoms; sisters: Georgina (Alex) McDonald and Sybil Forward; brother Frank (Phyllis) Thoms; brother-in-law David Winstanley, Joseph Power and nephew Garfield Forward. He leaves to mourn his loving family: brothers: Jim (Mary) Thoms, Ontario, Fred (Linda) Thoms, Bell Island, Guy (Gladys) Thoms, Carbonear; sisters: Aseneith Winstanley, Ontario, Phyllis Power, Carbonear; brother-in-law Jim Forward; special niece Donna Crane, Carbonear; and a large number of nieces and nephews, family and friends. The Funeral Service took place Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006 at Slade's Funeral Home, Carbonear with Internment at the Carbonear Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
