Bay Roberts -
Bell - Jewer Wedding

A quiet but pretty wedding took place at the Salvation Army on November 1st when Alfreda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bell, Forteau, Labrador was united in Holy Matrimony to Harry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jewer, Spaniard's Bay.
The bride was very tastefully attired in a Royal Blue costume with matching accessories and carried a bouquet of multi-coloured carnations. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Chesley Mercer, who was attired in blue with matching accessories, wearing a corsage.
The duties of best man were ably performed by Mr. Eric Jewer, brother of the groom.
The ceremony was performed by Capt. Pond of the Salvation Army. Following which the bridal party motored to Brigus, then to the home of the groom, where the reception was held.
The beautiful three-tier wedding cake, which adorned the bride's table was baked and decorated by Mrs. William Crosbie of Bay Roberts.
The happy couple has since taken up residence at Spaniard's Bay. Their many friends join in wishing them many years of wedded bliss.
