Deidre left this earth suddenly on January 3, 2003 at 47 years of age. She leaves to mourn her special friend Karl Yetman from Newfoundland; her mother Violet Ferguson of Edmonton; her sisters Rita of Edmonton; Linda of Camrose; her brothers Clement (Darlene) and Darrel (Dawna) all of Edmonton; her special friend Gladys; her children: Darlene, David, Steven, Nicholas, Michael and Miranda; her granddaughters Kayla and Angelica; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Deidre was predeceased by her father Henry Ferguson; her brother Clayton Ferguson; and by her grandson Darryl Fisher. "SHE WILL BE SADLY MISSED AND FOREVER REMEMBERED. MAY HER SPIRITS BE FREE." MacDONALD, Shanna Sylvia

With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Shanna MacDonald. Shanna was born in Fort McMurray on February 25th, 1981. She moved with her family to Edson, Alberta in 1985 and resided there until her passing on February 2nd, 2003. She will be greatly missed by her beautiful daughter Morgan MacDonald; her parents Debbie and Andy MacDonald of Edson, Alberta, Grandma and Grandpa Boyce and Lillian Tucker of Little Bay Islands in Newfoundland; Grandma and Grandpa Andy and Madge MacDonald of Lumsden, Saskatchewan; brothers Aaron and AJ MacDonald of Edson, Alberta; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Shanna was predeceased by her great-grandmothers Mildred Jones and Lydia Tucker in Newfoundland. Funeral Services for Shanna will take place on Saturday, February 8th, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Edson United Church with Reverend Lexi Nash officiating. Cremation will follow the service. MacISAAC, Michael Francis

MacISAAC, Michael Francis Michael Francis MacIsaac passed away February 12, 2003 in Edmonton at the age of 89. Born August 21, 1913 in Port-au-Port, Newfoundland, the youngest child of William and Mary. He served in the Navy 1940 - 1944. He is survived by his loving children, sons Robin in Toronto and Frank (Judy) in England and daughter Lesley in Edmonton, grandchildren Neil (Jennifer), Charlotte, Angela, Jacqueline and Jennifer and great grand children Ryan and Thomas. He will also be missed by many friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years Bridget (Brenda) in 1998 and by his brothers Wilfred, John, Stephen, Clytie, Bertie and Richard and his sister Clara Gillis. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday February 19th at the Chapel of Harmony Funeral Services, 10541 81 Avenue Edmonton. On March 13, 2003, Philip John Kane of Edmonton passed away at the age of 51 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Baird of Edmonton; stepdaughter, Kerry Lynn Upright; three loving grandchildren, Clayton, Tamara and Megan Upright, all of Edmonton; one sister and four brothers, Margie, Michael, Herb, Patrick and Matthew, all of Newfoundland. CREED, Joyce Lenore

Joyce Lenore Creed, our beloved sister, aunt, and dear friend, passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, March 23, 2003 at the age of 69 years. She was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on February 17, 1934 to parents James and Minnie Patterson. Joyce is survived by her sister Norma (Carsten) Hansen of Markham, Ontario and five nephews; her sister-in-law Claudia (Stuart) Barnes of Newfoundland and three nieces; brother-in-law Francis (Judy) Creed of BC and their two children; as well as special friends Colby and Pauline McClure of Sparwood. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband John Creed. The Funeral Service celebrating Joyce's life was held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Elkford with Pastor Alex Dudiak officiating. Cremation followed the service. Pallbearers were: David Hansen, Colby McClure, Bill Barnes, Allan Hanson, Ryan Hanson, and Stuart Barnes. STEVENSON, Samuel Thomas

On March 29, 2003, Sam passed away in the Mewburn Veteran's Centre of a heart attack. Sam was born and raised in Edmonton. Sam is survived by his loving wife Hazel, one son Murray of Calgary, two sisters Sadie of Newfoundland, Lorill of Edmonton, one brother Bill of Edmonton, three nieces Carol, Donna, June and two nephews Bill and Denny of Edmonton. Sam spent 4 years in the second world war. He was a long time sports enthusiast in softball, curling and golf. Cremation has taken place. She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Judy (Vern) Anderson of Wetaskiwin; sons, Robert of Drumheller, Stephen of Edmonton; grandchildren, Michael Anderson of Edmonton, Kayla and Christie Rose Penteluik of Drumheller; sister, Annie Durnford and brother, Lewis (Helen) Sheppard all of Newfoundland; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Steve; parents, Harold and Catherine Sheppard; sisters, Olive Sheppard and Isabel Slade; brother, Bill Sheppard. Dad passed away peacefully at the Jubilee Nursing Home on Thursday, July 17, 2003 at the age of 87 years. He is survived by six daughters and three sons, Marii (Bob) Duncan of Edmonton, Liz (Andi) Pallas of Wizard Lake, Terry (Gary) Wenner of Calgary, Gloria (Iven) Moger of Kelowna, B.C., Cathy (Ralph) Kezar of Drayton Valley, Elmer (Margaret) of Shoal Harbour, Newfoundland, Dorothy of Rochester, Chris (Kathryn) of Shawnigan Lake, B.C., Mark (Colett) of Ardrossan; 30 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. 1916 - 2003 It is with great sadness that the Bauer family announces the passing of Dearest Hilda on December 8th at the age of 87 in Edmonton. Hilda is pre- deceased by her parents John and Lilly, identical twin sister Florrie, sister May, and brothers Pierce and George. She is survived by her loving husband Don; sons Doug and Chris; and grandchildren Innessa, Lee, Amanda, Allison and Amber. Born Hilda M. Gillett in the outport fishing village of Round Harbour Newfoundland, she later moved to Lewisporte, Grand Falls, and St. John's before immigrating to Canada in 1947. Hilda's love of life and people has cultivated for her many strong friendships from across the globe. For those who knew her well, they know that there was no bigger heart anywhere. Her long and courageous battle with cancer deserves a special commendation...spiritually positive right up to her passing...that is our Hilda Dear Hilda. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Bishopric; two daughters, Jamie Sharpe and Shayna Sharpe both of Edmonton; parents, Joan and Lester Sharpe, of Twillingate, NFLD; three brothers, Alex Anstey of Edmonton, Bruce Sharpe of British Columbia and Barry Sharpe of British Columbia; three sisters, Belinda Sharpe, Rowena Sharpe and Jennifer Sharpe all of NFLD;.
