Georgijevic, Elizabeth
January 21, 1930 - November 30, 2005
Elizabeth passed away peacefully after an intense 8 day battle with
lung cancer. Elizabeth was born in Obrenovac, Serbia and came to Canada in 1958
to join her husband, Branko, in Edmonton, AB. She had a pioneer spirit and was
always willing to face any challenge. Recently moved to NL from Calgary, she
found she enjoyed the people. A kind and loving mother, devoted wife, and an
excellent cook. Liz always welcomed anyone into her home and to her kitchen table.
Her generous spirit made it impossible for her to see a need and not try
to fill it. Although Elizabeth had only one child, daughter Vicky (Dan Knee)
who is left to mourn her, there are many that affectionately call her “mom”.
Vicky & Dan would like to thank Dr. Lori Hayward and the nursing staff
on Ward 3A for their kindness and compassion.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Winston Green of Sunset Memorial Funeral
Home.
A Memorial Service was conducted by Major Sandra Stokes at Sunset Memorial
Funeral Home on Saturday, December 3, 2005.
