Passed peacefully away after a battle with COPD on December
4, 2011 at the
Central NL Regional Health Centre, William Henry Barrett. He was 81 years of
age. He was predeceased by his parents, William & Mabel; sisters, Louise
Cale, Susan Cosick, Violet Jorgesan, Jean Milne, Edith Stagg; brothers, Laurie,
John, and Albert Barrett. Left to mourn are wife, Jessie May (nee Roberts);
son, Gary (Susan) Barrett; and daughter, Donna (Owen) Black. Also left to mourn
four grandchildren, Alicia Black, Joshua Black, Jessica Barrett, Kathryn Barrett;
sisters, Annie Nichols, Dorothy Jankovic, Rose Way; brother, Freeman Barrett;

with interment at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Union Street, Grand Falls-Windsor.

DREWRY, Steven

LT. COLONEL STEVEN TODD DREWRY, U.S. Air Force, age 44, of O'Fallon,
IL, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 in St. Louis, MO. Born December
15, 1966 in Memphis to Ron and Nancy Drewry. He graduated from Bishop Byrne
High School and later received a Bachelor's of Science degree from the
University of Memphis and a Master's degree in Information Systems management
from Webster University. During his Air Force service, he served in various
positions as a pilot, instructor, inspector, executive officer and commander.
He was a decorated veteran of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. He additionally
deployed in support of Operations Joint Guard, Joint Endeavor, and Southern
Watch. His decorations include the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal
with 4 oak leaf clusters, the Air Medal, the Aerial Achievement Medal with
oak leaf cluster, the Air Force Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster, and
the Air Force Achievement Medal. In addition to his parents, he is survived
by his wife of 13 years, Kimberly Ann Drewry (nee Rowsell); son, Adam and daughter,
Kristin. Beloved sister of Cindy Drewry German of Collierville, TN; brother,
David and his wife, Tina of Las Vegas, NV; parents-in-law, Keith and Josephine
Rowsell; six nieces and nephews and his most faithful friend, Buddy. Visitation
was at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Poplar Ave. on Thursday, December 8 from
6-8 p.m., with graveside services at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 9 in Memorial Park
Cemetery. The family requests any memorial donations be made to the Aplastic
Anemia, MDS Foundation.
FOLEY, Elizabeth
Born: January 8th, 1940
Passed on: December 15th, 2011
Passed peacefully away on Dec. 8, 2011 at the Health Science Complex, St. John's,
Elizabeth Ann Foley of Grand Falls-Windsor. She was 71 years of age. She was
predeceased by her son, Brian Foley; parents, Winifred and William Wyatt; brothers,
William and Ronald. She leaves to mourn her sons, Craig and Scott; daughter,
Michalann; grandsons, Justin and David. Also leaving to mourn are her sisters,
Phyllis (Ed) Butt, Peggy (Willis) Lush, Marilyn (Greg) Hatt, Carolyn Wyatt

Furey, William (Bill) P (November 10, 1951 - December 04, 2011). Passed
peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Palliative Care Unit
in Grand Falls-Windsor. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Cindy (Brooks) and
his cherished children, Patrick (Aimee), Elizabeth (Kurwin), and Lauren; his
brothers, George (Janet), Pat (Mary), Michael (Trina); and his sisters, Marion
(Ken Yetman), Marie (Bren Cooke), Elsie (Bill Thistle), Peggy (Bill Allan),
Helen (Fred Colbert), and Patsy (Gordon Yetman); mother-in-law, Pauline Brooks,
sister-in-law Karen (Ross Cater), and brother-in-law, John Brooks (Francois)
as well as a wide circle of family and friends. A Mass of Christian burial
was held on Wednesday, December 7 at 11a.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate

GOODYEAR, Ray
Born: November 25th, 1916
Passed on: December 21st, 2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond
John Goodyear announce his sudden passing at his daughter's residents in Little Rapids,
NL on December 21, 2011 at the age of 95. Ray was a member of the Elk's
Club, Lodge #59 and NL Sports Hall of Fame. He was a long-time player of Old
Timer's Baseball. Ray retired from Abitibi Price in Grand Falls-Windsor
in the 70's as Boss Machine Tender. Left with fond and loving memories
are his wife of 69 years, Teresa Goodyear; daughters, Maureen (Tom) Ring of
St. John's, and Beverley (Hardy) Batt of Little Rapids. Also leaving
to mourn is Ray's special granddaughter Tonya Ring of Calgary, AB; Shirley
Thomas (niece) and family, Grand Falls-Windsor; Joan Hrankowski (niece) and
family, BC; and many special friends in Grand Falls-Windsor. Fr. Hearn conducted
the funeral service at Central Funeral Homes Chapel on Union Street on December

HUNTER, Betty

Passed away on Dec. 10, 2011 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre,
Betty Marion Hunter of Bishop's Falls. She was 63 years of age. Mrs.
Hunter retired from Spruce-wood Academy as a Student assistant in 2006. She
was predeceased by her parents, William & Laura Vokey; brothers, Alonzo & Clarence
Vokey. Left to mourn are her son, Troy (Vanessa); daughter, Kerry (Darren)
Feltham; sister, Caroline (Pearce) Combden; brothers, George (Shirley) Vokey,

Passed suddenly away on December 12, 2011 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Dennis
Sean McDonald. He was 28 years of age. Dennis worked as a welder in Saskatoon.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Walter Morgan. He leaves to mourn his
wife, Heather; daughter, Mackenzie; son, Paxton; mother, Hilda (Gill). Also
leaving to mourn are his sister, Vanessa; step-sister, Melanie; step-brother,
Danilo; father, Richard; grandmother, Julia Morgan; grandparents, James and

Falls on Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Interment was at the Roman Catholic cemetery,

MOORE, CHAD ALBERT passed away suddenly on Thursday, December
1, 2011 as a
result of a tragic accident at the age of 29. Predeceased by his mother, Geraldine
Moore; sister, Tara; grandfather, Warren Moore; and uncle, Larry Moore. He
was the loving husband and soul mate of Heidi (Simpson) Moore of Elora, Ont.
He was the proud and loving daddy of Maija and Lucie. Chad was the beloved
son of Albert and step-mother, Melitta of Newfoundland; son-in-law of Jean
and Terry Simpson of Fergus, Ont. He was the dear brother of Trent and his
partner Darren of Toronto, brother, Ryan (Crystal) of Calgary, AB; and step-sister,
Tracey Fisher (Robert) of Saskatoon, SK. Chad was the dear grandson of Loretta
Moore and Muriel & Warrick England of Badger, NL. Chad was the dear brother-in-law
of Jason Simpson (Monica) of Guelph, Ont and Nate (Tara) of Toronto, Ont. Survived
also by his paternal aunts, Darlene Fleet (Steven), NS. Cynthia Lawlor (Tony),
Ont., Elaine Halbot (Wayne), Labrador, NL, Lana Hewitt (Doug), NL; his maternal
uncles, Wallace England (Rita), NS, Randy England (Samantha), Ont, Barry England
(Linda), Ont. and aunt Tammy Noseworthy (Brad), Ont.; as well as his nieces,
nephews and cousins. Chad will be remembered for his love and dedication to
his family and for his strong work ethic. As expressions of sympathy donations

We, the family of the late Anthony Rogers, known
as "Tony the Milkman",
regret to announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health
Centre on December 19, 2011. Anthony was an avid hockey fan, loved company
and a good game of cards. He leaves to mourn his wife, Joan; daughters, Cynthia
(Jeff) Snow, Michelle (Shawn) Goodyear; grandchildren, Chantelle and Cody Snow,
Emma and Jack Goodyear; as well as a large circle of friends. Visitation took

91 years of age. Mr. Smith retired from Canadian National Railway in January
1983. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn; parents, Emmanuel and May; brothers,
