BURT, Milton
1922-2013

It is with great sadness, that the family of the late Milton Wilkinson Burt announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on May 2, 2013 at the age of 91. Milton was born on January 21, 1922 to Willis and Margaret (Wilkinson) Burt in Grand Falls-Windsor and was a single child. Milton worked in the mill as a paycheck clerk early in his life but later retired after 10 years from the Newfoundland Liquor Corporation. He met and married Mary Ann Lyver in 1972. Milton loved to spend time gardening and sitting in the sun. He enjoyed listening to the radio news and cooking meals. Milton is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters and son, Margaret-Ann Evans , Lisa and Frederick Burt (wife Nadine Robitaille); grandchildren, Marissa and Justin Burt, Terry-lynn (Cheeke) Gerschkow and Gregory Cheeke ; great grandchildren, Jordan, Justin and Ashlyn Gerschkow; cousins, Judy (Wilkinson) Neal, Andrew and Bill Porter. Milton was preceded in death by his parents. A Wake will be held on Tuesday, May 7th at 2-4pm and 7-9pm and a Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 9th, 2:00pm at Central Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Falls-Windsor. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Mike Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.

COURTNEY, Christina
1943 - 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Christina Courtney announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on May 4, 2013 at the age of 69. Predeceased by her parents Dorman and Avice Dalley of Botwood. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband WIlliam Courtney; and daughters Tracey (Jason) of Halifax and Martina (Peter) of Grand Falls-Windsor. Also leaving to mourn are her brother Martin (Carolyn) of Musgrave Harbour; grandchildren Courtney, Kyle and Emma; and a large circle of close family and friends. Father Hearn will conduct the funeral service at the Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception on May 8, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be at the Interfaith Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Mike Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception.

CROSS, Patience
1943 - 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Patience Cross announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Hospital in Grand Falls-Windsor on May 15, 2013 at the age of 70. Predeceased by her parents Ralph and Rita Dyke; mother-in-law Catherine; father-in-law Fred Cross; sisters Lorraine, Ida and Barbara and brother Marshall. Left with fond and loving memories, her husband William Cross; sons Fred (Tammie) Cross of Grand Falls-Windsor and Stephen (Tammy) Cross of Grand Falls-Windsor; daughters Darlene (Alex) Petrie of Kamloops, British Columbia, Cathy (John) Gillespie of Grand Falls-Windsor, Debbie (Pete) Cross of Grand Falls-Windsor; Bev (Harold) Rose of Grand Falls-Windsor and special sister-in-law Joan Cross. Also leaving to mourn, grandchildren Alexis, Virginia, Chanelle, Vanessa, Victoria, Katie, Lauren, David, and Danny; sisters Rita and Mary; brothers Ambrose (Pat) and Albert (Geraldine); sister-in-law Joan; brother-in-law George; her great grandchildren Detroit, Gabriel, Declan, Jordan, Holly, MacKenzie and Brooklyn; a large circle of neices and nephews and special friend Eleanor Hamilton. Reverend Randy Lockyer and Reverend David Coffin will conduct the funeral service at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. Pallbearers are Bob Anstey, Stephen Anstey, Matthew Anstey, Benjamen Anstey, Don Gillespie and Danny Rose. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.

GOUDIE, HOLLY NICOLE
1991 - 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Holly Goudie announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on May 7, 2013 at the age of 21. Predeceased by her Grandparents: Max & Minnie Goudie and Lloyd & Sadie Edison; Uncle Dwight Edison; and her Cousin Jake Edison. Left with fond and loving memories are her parents Kurt & Sherry Goudie; her brother Gavin Goudie and her boyfriend Danny Drake. Also leaving to mourn Aunts & Uncles - Kevin & Vanessa of Ontario, Judy & Peter of Springdale, Keith & Marcella of Alberta, Eugene & Susan of Springdale, Brian & Beth of Springdale, Debbie of Springdale and a special aunt, Kim (Josh) of Springdale; as well as a long list of cousins, friends and co-workers. Doug Brown from Grace United Church conducted the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on May 11, 2013. Pallbearers were Gavin Goudie, Danny Drake, Krystal Noble, Sarah Burton, Caitlyn Heath, Ashley Rideout, Jill Goudie and Kim Edison. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

JANES, Eleanor Leon (Quigley)
1930 - 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eleanor Leon (Quigley) Janes announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on May 7, 2013 at the age of 82. Predeceased by her husband Clayton Janes, her parents John and Cecilia Quigley; brothers Donald, Clifford, Claude and Gerald; and sister Mae Brown. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons; Donald (Olive)of St. John's and Patrick (Patricia) of Victoria, B.C. Also leaving to mourn are is her brother Bob (Pat) Quigley; sisters; Louise Sullivan, Jean (Victor) Trottman, Helen Gollesch; Brother-In-Law Gerald Brown; Sisters-In-Law; May Quigley, Alice Quigley, Kay Quigley, Vi Pachano; Grandchildren George, Nolan and Amy, special niece Raye as well as many nieces and nephews and special friend Harrison Luff. Father William Hearn will conduct the funeral service from The Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception on Saturday, May 11, 2013. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Mike Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes. Pallbearers are Tony Quigley, Don Quigley, Seamus Quigley, Gord McDonald, David Milley and Wayne Sullivan. NEWMAN, Eric Adam
1945 - 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric Adam Newman announce his passing at the Central Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on May 21, 2013 at the age of 68. Eric was a member of the Pentecostal Church. He was on leave from HjO-Connell as a mechanic. Predeceased by his parents - Stuart & Annie and his brother Douglas. Left with fond and loving memories are Minnie Curlew; stepsons - Larry Curlew (Cheryl) of Trail, BC, Leon Curlew (Shirley) of Springdale; stepdaughters - Judy Bishop (David) of Brantford, ON, Pauline Curlew (Judy) of St. John's, Violet Fowlow (Harvey) of Springdale, Debi Curlew (Mike) of Brampton, ON and Cathy Curlew (Carl) of Ft. McMurrary. Also leaving to mourn is his sister Marie (Jerome Hustins); two nephews - Checo & Todd; grandson Dylan Chaulk; 8 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. Pastor Lindsey Foster conducted the funeral service from the Pentecostal in Springdale on May 24, 2013. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ryan Fowlow, Michael Fowlow, Leon Curlew, Dylan Chaulk, Jerome Hustins, and Ford Young. Honorary pallbearer was Wilson Quinton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

SEABRIGHT, Gordon
Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on May 14, 2013, Gordon Wilburn Seabright, age 79 years. Leaving to mourn his wife Madeline; son Glenn, daughter-in-law Nola, and grandson Robert; four sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Funeral Service to take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013 from First United Church. Cremation to follow the service. As expressions of sympathy flowers are being gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the First United Church Building Fund, Mazol Shrine Patient Transportation Fund, the Children's Wish Foundation or to a Charity of One's Choice.
