It is with sadness that the families of the late Anthony Alphonsus Barrington announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, aged 65. He is predeceased by his father, Francis. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughters, Pamela of Badger, NL, Trina (Jason) Hurley of Badger, NL; mother, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Amanda, Laura, Kaylee, Cole, and Luke; brothers, Jack, Gerald, Terence, Brian; sisters, Nancy, Madeline, Teresa, and Margaret; as well as a large circle of neices, nephews, relatives and friends. The funeral service took place Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 11 am from the Sacred Heart Parish, Badger, NL with Father Wilfred Calinawan officiating. Interment at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Badger, NL. Visitation took place Sunday, October 11, 2010 at 7-9 pm and Monday, October 12, 2010 at 2-4 and 7-9 pm from The Sacred Heart Parish. Donations in his memory were made to The Canadian Lung Association. Pallbearers: Terence Barrington, Mike Antle, Terry Card, Felix Barrington, Ronald Barrington, and Phil Lehr. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls Windsor, NL.

BARRY, Roland
Passed away at the Central NL Regional Health Care Centre, Roland Edward Barry of Grand Falls-Windsor. He was 78 years of age. Mr. Barry retired as a Park Ranger with Parks Canada in 1997. He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Donella Barry; brothers, William, Patrick; sisters Frances Prezcator and Genevieve Hynes. Leaving to mourn are his sisters Selena Barry and Mary Baker and a circle of other relatives and friends. Cremation took place on Oct. 15, 2010. Arrangements were entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, Grand Falls-Windsor.

BUDGELL, Gordon
Passed away in: Stephenville, Newfoundland, Canada
Passed away on: 18/10/2010
Passed away on October 18, 2010 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing, Gordon Ernest Budgell. He was 87 years of age. Upon until his last days, Gordon was reciting poetry, laughing with family & friends, and always winning at checkers. He died as he lived, adored and peaceful. Mr. Budgell worked at Abitibi Price for over 40 years, a career that he truly loved. Predeceased by parents, Lewis & Jessie; step-mother, Metie; daughter, Ruby; and sister, Lettie. Left to mourn are wife, Clara; sons, Aubrey (Dorothy), Lewis (Dominique), David; daughters, Mildred (Bert), Flora (David), Ruth, Daphne, Beverley (Mike), Lorraine (Josh), and Melinda (Charles). Also leaving to mourn sister, Pearl (George); step-sisters, Maisie & Isabelle; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastors Elaine Rideout & Gary Andrews conducted funeral services at the Windsor Pentecostal Church in Grand Falls-Windsor on Thursday October 21, 2010. Interment was at the Windsor Pentecostal Cemetery, Caribou Road. Pallbearers were Aubrey Budgell (son), Lewis Budgell (son), George Goulding (bro-in-law), David King (son-in-law), Dennis Froude (nephew), & Don Lane (friend).

Passed peacefully away on Oct. 8, 2010 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Chesley Boyd Cole of Grand Falls-Windsor. He was 75 years of age. Mr. Cole retired from Newfoundland & Labrador Housing. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Elizabeth Cole; daughter, Louise; brother, Gordon; sisters, Rose and Mary. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Marie; sons, Wayne (Sharon), Darryl (Debbie), Garry (Colleen); daughters, Wanda, Barbara (Dan), Linda (Robert), Sandra (Alan). Also leaving to mourn are his sisters, Margaret and Violet (Obadiah) and brothers, Albert (Clara) and Melvin (Marion); nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastors Elaine Rideout and Gary Andrews conducted funeral services at Windsor Pentecostal Church on Monday, Oct. 11, 2010 with interment at the Windsor Pentecostal Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Homes, Grand Falls-Windsor. Pallbearers were, Wayne, Darryl and Garry Cole, Dan Pomeroy, Alan Granter, Michael Conway. Honorary pallbearer was Colin Grimes.

COLLETT, Agnes Ann (nee Ryan)

Passed away peacefully at the Carmelite House in her 91st year, Agnes Collett. Predeceased by husband Stanley and son Jerry. Left to mourn are daughter Betty (Des) Bolton of Gatineau, daughter-in-law Bernice of Grand Falls-Windsor, grandsons Jerry of Grand Falls-Windsor and Joe (Carolyn) of Gander. Also left to mourn are two great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Father Kevin Barker conducted the funeral mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on October 8, 2010. Interment was at the Interfaith Cemetery on Union Street. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Catherine Rose Foley (Greene) nee McGrath announce her passing at the Carmelite House in Grand Falls-Windsor on October 1, 2010, at the age of 92. Predeceased by husbands Edward Greene (1950), and Austin Foley (2004), brothers Edward (1979), and John McGrath (2007), sister Ann Cotter (2008). Left with fond and loving memories are sons Patrick Greene, of Tilting, John Greene (Sheila) of St. John's, daughters Imelda Head (Harvey) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Marie Power of Grand Falls-Windsor, Angela McNeil (Harry) of Middle Cove. Also leaving to mourn are brother Patrick McGrath of Grand Falls-Windsor, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren along with a large circle of friends and relatives. GEAR, Gordon
It is with great sadness that we, the family of Gordon Bruce Gear announce his peaceful passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre. Most People knew Gordon as a professional engineer working at the mill for over 40 years. For is family he was an exemplary father and grand father whose guidance and love knew no bounds. Gordon is predeceased by his parents, Dr. Walter and Angelina Gear and beloved sister Doris Mercer. Mourning his passing are all his children, Lorraine (Paul), Stephen, Blair (Heather), and Sharon (Craig); grandchildren, Amanda, Angela, Donald, Troy, Ryan, and Robyn; great-grandchilren, Dylan, Kaylee, and Adrian; sister, Audrey Myrden of Corner Brook. Passed peacefully away on Monday, October 18th, 2010 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, G. Gary Gushue of Humberview Rd. in Irishtown (formerly of Buchans), in his 59th year. Leaving to mourn with fond memories, his life partner, companion and best friend, Wanda Gillingham; his sister and life giver, Wanda Gushue; mother-in-law Grace Gillingham; brothers-in-law: Leonard and Paul (Donna); three treasured "little girls", affectionately known as "Sunshine" (Amanda), "Dollie" (Patricia) and "Blacky" (Krista) and one special young man Jason, and family. Gary also leaves behind his feline baby, Molly and a large circle of relatives and friends, including an amazing extended family on the 3rd floor at WMRH. He was predeceased by and is now reunited with his parents Robert and Mary Gushue; his brother-in-law Christopher Dennis; Wanda's father Eric Gillingham and Wanda's brother Jerome. Friends visited Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Corner Brook on Tuesday, October 19 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service took place at St. Nicholas Anglican Church in Cox's Cove on Wednesday, October 20th at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Joan Coles officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. He was predeceased by his parents, Leslie & Jessie Guy; first wife Margaruite; brother, Wm. D. Guy. Left to mourn are his wife Ruth Caroline (Hannaford) Guy; sons, George, David (Maureen), Robert (Mary), Gary, Carl; dauthers, Irene (Douglas), Lillian (Baxter), Geraldine (Boris), Rolinda (Glen), Jacqualine (Robert); 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Passed peacefully away after a short and courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her family Mary Beatrice Pearl Howse (nèe Collins) aged 86. Predeceased by her parents, Abraham and Elizabeth Collins; husband, Kenneth of 55 years; three brothers, John, Elizah and Wilfred; sister, Velma, Dorothy, and Gladys; step-brother Bill; and step-sister Lucy. William "Bill" Peter John
, of Riverview, NB passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the age of 79 years. He was born in Grand Fall's NFLD, on October 12, 1931 to the late Peter and Mary Ellen (Janes) John. He is survived by daughters Brenda Duplessis (Percy Mack), Tina (Paul) MacInnis, son William (Edith and Matt Bastarache), Daughter in law Tracy (Joanie MacWilliam) John, and grandsons Cory and Sky Duplessis. Also his siblings James (Bernadette) John, Margaret Hopfel, Ruby (Fran) Barry and Sheila (Peter) Sedon. Dad will be dearly missed by his very special lady, Anna Cosman; the extended Chayter family of Botwood, NFLD, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; wife Evelyn (1993); son Brian (2010); Sister Kathleen and infant brother Bernard. Dad was retired from the Federal Government with Thirty Seven years service (U.I.C.) and he was a great fan of almost any movie ever made. PELLEY, Walter

Passed away on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, after a lengthy illness, at the Central NL Regional Health Centre, Walter Charles Pelley of Northern Arm. He was 87 years of age. Mr. Pelley retired from the Dept. of Transportation in 1983. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Ethel; brothers, Fred, Howard, Ronald, Stanley, Philip; sisters, Effie Curlew, Stella Stride and Margaret Budgell. Left to mourn are his wife Winnie; sons, Terry (Lorene), Gerald (Karen); grandchildren, Catherine Pelley (Jason Bessey), Melissa Pittman (Brad), Michael Pelley (Alicia MacDonald); great-grandchildren, Natalie and Ryan Bessey, Kaylin and Mya Pittman. Also left to mourn are his sisters Daisy Gosse (Douglas), Violet Clarke; brother, Wilfred (Annetta) and a circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Marilyn Rees conducted funeral service at Faith United Church, Northern Arm on Monday, Nov. 1, 2010 with interment at the United Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Homes, Botwood. Pallbearers were sons, Terry and Gerald; granddaughters Catherine and Melissa; nephew, Paul; niece Pauline. Donations in his memory can be made to the Grand Falls-Windsor Cancer Clinic.

RALPH, Norman

Passed away on October 6th, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer, Norman Guy Ralph of Grand Falls Windsor. He was 64 years of age. Mr. Ralph retired from Norflo Janitorial Co. in 2005 and was a member of the St. Alban's Men's Group. Predeceased by parents, Jesse & Laura; and infant brother, Reid. Left to mourn are his loving wife of 44 years, Florence; sons, Bruce (Theresa) of Edmonton, AB, Jim (Sherry) of Grand Falls Windsor, and Barry (April) of Grand Falls Windsor. Also leaving to mourn sister, Grace (Bert); brother, Frank (Marg); grandchildren, Vanessa, Victoria, Alex, Jesse, Sarah, Jacob, Reuben, Simon, Aleah, Rachel, Braden, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Glenn Small conducted funeral services at St. Alban's Anglican Church in Grand Falls Windsor on Oct. 9, 2010. Internment followed from the St. Albans Anglican Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Ralph (son), Alex Ralph (grandson), Derrick Ralph (nephew), Don Cooke (friend), Art Peckford (friend), and Bruce Ralph (son).

Passed peacefully at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Oct. 3, 2010, Annie Maude Roberts, she was 68 years of age. She was predeceased by her parents, Dallas and Reuben Burton; husband, William; sons, Dennis and Kevin Roberts; brother, Alton Burton. Left to mourn her passing are, son, Shawn (Tara); daughters, Valerie (Ronnie) Tippett, Shelly Roberts (Danny Hammond), Tina Roberts (Jerome Pearce). Also leaving to mourn are her six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sisters, Trixie, Wavie, Joy, Sharon, Myra, Inez; brothers, Carl, Howard, Herman, Fred, Everett and Floyd and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Shawn Bowers conducted funeral services at Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle, Bishop's Falls on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Sunset Drive, Bishop's Falls. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Homes, Bishop's Falls. Pallbearers were her brothers, Carl, Howard, Herman, Everett and Floyd; grandson Justin.

SHEPPARD, Alex

Passed peacefully away from this life to the next, on Oct. 8, 2010 at the Central NL Regional Health Care Centre, Alex Lorenzo Sheppard of Point Leamington. He was 94 years of age. Alex spent most of his life as a sawmill operator. He was predeceased by wife, Sadie; parents, Henry and Bertha Sheppard; brother, Harold; sisters, Mary and Effie. He leaves to mourn his son, Harold (Betty); daughters, Beulah, Verley (Elvin), Karen (Brent); 10 Grand-children; 10 Great-grand Children and a circle of other relatives and friends. Majors Richard and Trudy Mouland conducted funeral services from The Salvation Army Citadel, Pt. Leamington, with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Homes, Botwood. Pallbearers were Michael Sheppard, Rex Thompson, Greg Sheppard, Ray Cooper, Freddie Rowsell and Nathan Sheppard.

Passed peacefully away on October 23, 2010 at the Central NL Regional Health Centre, Emily Janet Vineham of Botwood. She was 87 years of age. Mrs. Vineham was a member of the Jubliee Pentecostal Temple. She was predeceased by husband, Leonard. Left to mourn are sons, John, Gilbert (Donna), Wallace (Jean), Bruce (Cindy), Terry (Angela); daughters, Bernice (Wallace) Clouter, Wavey (Edward) Evans, Rita, Joan, and Shirley (Claude) House. Also leaving to mourn sister, Bessie Elliott; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grand-children, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Frazer Roberts conducted funeral services at the Jubilee Pentecostal Temple, Botwood on Wednesday October 27, 2010. Interment at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Botwood. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Homes, Botwood. Pallbearers were sons, Gilbert, Wallace, Bruce, Terry Vineham; grandsons, Craig Clouter, and Lenny Vineham.

WAR, William
Passed away in the presence of his family, William Warr aged 67 years. He is predeceased by his parents, Harold and Maude Warr; brothers, Harvey, Reginald, and Francis; father-in-law Ralph Sweetapple. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Mary; daughter, Christina (Glenn) Beson of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; son, Scott (Lori) of Michael's Harbour, NL; grandchildren, Emma, Travis, and Tristen; mother-in-law, Ena Sweetapple; sisters, Beulah (Bruce) Budgell, Ivy (William) Strickland, Effie Croucher; brother, Wesley (Margaret) Hillier; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The funeral service will take place Tuesday, October, 19, 2010 at 11 am from the First United Church, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL with Rev. Elizabeth Stewart officiating. The interment will follow at the United Church Cemetery. Visitation will take place Sunday October 17, 2010 at 7-9 pm, Monday, October 18, 2010, 2-4 pm-7-9 pm. Donations in his memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls- Windsor, NL.
