COLBOURNE, Jenneth Jessie
Jenneth Jessie Colbourne
passed peacefully away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, NL, on Oct. 4th 2012. She was predeceased by her brothers Roland, George and Mount, and sister Minnie. She is survived by her sister Eliza Perry, and step-family Marina Sparkes (Ephraim), Guy of Montreal, Rita of St. John's, Melva Whitten (David) of St. John's and Donald. Jessie was married to Max Colbourne (deceased 1995). She is mourned by three children Loretta Patey (Wilbur) of Goose Bay, Overton (wife Judy) of Corner Brook, and Owen (wife Julie) of Calgary; three grandchildren Jerry Patey, Ian Colbourne and Jill Colbourne; and three great-grandchildren Cpl. Eric Patey, Marcus of Goose Bay, and Michael Patey of Labrador City. Jessie was a faithful soldier of The Salvation Army St. Anthony Citadel Corps, a Sunday School Teacher, Home League and League of Mercy member. She influenced the lives of many people. Jessie was a skilled craftsperson for the Grenfell Industrial, producing high quality hooked mats and embroidery. Examples of her high quality embroidery were present in several handicraft products given as gifts by organizations to visiting dignitaries. Her skill as a mat hooker is present in many collections of work in museums and private collections in the U.S.A. and Canada. Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony, followed by the funeral service which took place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7 at the Salvation Army Citadel in St. Anthony. Burial followed in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army Community Cares Ministry (formerly known as the League of Mercy) would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.

DOOLEY, Annie
Passed on: October 3rd, 2012
Passed peacefully away at the Carmalite House in Grand Falls-Windsor on October 3rd, 2012 Annie Francis (Keough) Dooley of Plate Cove East, aged 93 yrs. Predeceased by husband Edward, daughter Eileen, parents Andrew and Mary Keough; sisters Mary and Margaret; brothers William and Andrew. Left with fond and loving memories, daughter Louise, sons Pat, Mike and Lou; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Funeral service took place at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Plate Cove on Saturday, October 6th, 2012.

O'KEEFE, Gerald

Born: April 12th, 1938
Passed in: Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada
Passed on: October 21st, 2012

With sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of Gerald O'Keefe of Bishop's Falls, NL on October 21st, 2012 at the age of 74. He passed away peacefully in his home in Spruce Grove, AB after a 3 year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by all of his six children: Brent, Stephen, Bruce, Connie, Kelli, and David, as well as grandchildren and siblings. Anyone who knew Jerry knew that he enjoyed life, he had a huge heart, and a very kind soul. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
