Passed away peacefully at the QEII in Halifax, NS, on December 3, 2005
Hazel D'arcy (nee O'Quinn) at the age of 40 years. Formerly of South Branch she was
the daughter of Alphonsus and Leona O'Quinn. She leaves to mourn her common-law
spouse, Ronald Brake; daughter, Catylyn; and son, Jeremy all of St. Margaret's
Bay, NS; parents, Alphonsus and Leona O'Quinn of South Branch; brothers, Sidney
and Chad of Fort McMurray, AB; sisters, Pauline O'Quinn of South Branch, Whilma
(Ivan) Harris of Fort McMurray, AB, Monica (Ali) Yassum of Michigan, US, Nicole
(Jamie) Fraser of Kitchener, ON, Vanessa O'Quinn (Kenny) Smithers, BC; grandfather,
Paul Gale of South Branch and a large circle of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles,
cousins and friends. Funeral mass took place at St. Sylvester RC Church, South
Branch on December 8, 2005, at 11 a.m. officiated by Father Lee Lainey. Interment

JANES-DEPASS, Linda Carol
Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance,
on Sunday, December 4, 2005, Linda Carol Janes-DePass age
44, of Chatham, beloved wife of Dr. Ian E. DePass. Born in Newfoundland
in 1961, daughter of Harold and Joyce Janes of Newfoundland. Linda was
a member and treasurer of the Canadian Federation University Women (CFUW)
Chatham-Kent Branch and also a member of the Charles Dickens Society.
Loving mother of Kathryn, Brittany, Victoria, Courtney and Benjamin DePass
of Chatham. Dear sister of Sharon Janes and friend Arthur Anderson and
Sharon's daughter Ashley of Newfoundland and Peter Janes and his wife
Darlene of Alberta and their children, David, Kayla and Cody. Daughter-in-law
of Eric and Kathleen DePass of Brandon, Manitoba. Godmother of Ashley
Janes and Michelle DePass. Sister-in-law of Earle DePass and his wife
Francine of St. Andrew's West and their children Phillipe, Neil, Michelle
and Karlene DePass of London and her children Sean and Erika Lannon.
Visitation took place for friends and family at the funeral home, 156
William St. S. Chatham from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7,
2005. Chapel service was held in the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home on
Thursday, December 8, 2005 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Annalee Kerr of Bothwell-Wabash
United Church officiating. Cremation will follow. Donations to the Lung

Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Tuesday,
December 27, 2005 Freeman Thomas Organ of Port aux Basques at the age of 46 years.
Born at Isle aux Morts he was the son of George and the late Lenora Organ. He
was predeceased by his mother; and brother, George Jr. He leaves to mourn his
father, George; sister, Libbie; brother, Jimmy (Stella); nephew, Jimmy Jr. (Clara);
and niece, Amanda all of Isle aux Morts; his foster family of 16 years, Margaret
(Mom) Pike, Maxine (sister) and Melvin Pearce, Stephanie and Danny all of Port
aux Basques and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation
took place at East Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday 12-3 p.m. Holy Spirit Wednesday
evening and Thursday. Funeral services took place on Friday, December 30, 2005
at 2 p.m. at Holy Spirit Church officiated by Rev. Hugh Fudge. Interment followed

Passed away at his residence in Codroy on December 31, 2005, Herbert
Thomas Kendellat the age of 75 years. Born at Codroy he was the son of the late Frances and
Henry Kendell. He was also predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Helen (Cecil)
Kendell, Ernest Kendell, Nora J. Kendell, Walter (Mabel) Kendell, Herbert S.
Kendell; and brother-in-law, Jacob Samms. He leaves to mourn his brothers, Elias
(Marcella) Kendell of Codroy, John (Helen) Kendell of Codroy; and sister, Dorcas
Samms of Lock Lomond and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
