It is with great sadness that the family of the late Percy Pope Anderson announces his passing on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at the age of 81 years. Born at Port aux Basques, Percy was the son of the late Joshua and Blanche Anderson. He was also predeceased by his 12 brothers and sisters, his mother and father in law, Stanley and Elizabeth Randell. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving family: devoted wife Alma of 54 years marriage; his daughters Cheryl (Darryl) Dingwell, Kathy (Fred) Carew all of Port aux Basques, Paula (Paul) Dowding St. John's, N.L.; grandchildren Chris (Jen) Philadelphia, Kelly (Colby) Edmonton, Alta., Craig Houston, Texas, Candice (Ted) St. John's, N.L, Adam Fort McMurray, Alta., and Tonya St. John's, N.L; great grandchildren Ryan and Olivia; his pet dog Halle who he loved so dearly; sisters-in-law Mae (Eric) Lomond, Madeline Critchell; close friends Florence and Jim Devereaux; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation took place on Feb. 22 and 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Feb. 24, 2 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Clayton Billard. Interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Baracnois Hill. MACISAAC, ANTHONY (TONY) BRIAN
March 2, 1952 - February 20, 2010
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Anthony Maclsaac announces his passing on Saturday, February 20, at his residence in Doyles at the age of 57 years. Born at Doyles, Anthony was the son of the late Daniel and Veronica (nee Collier) Maclsaac. He was also predeceased by his brothers Robert, Peter, Edward and William. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his family: wife Eileen of 33 years marriage; son Brian, Codroy Valley; daughters Chantelle, Codroy Valley and Samantha, Ontario; grandchildren Layla and Luke; brothers Maurice (Martha) New Brunswick, Leonard (Bonnie), and sister Helen (Eli) Anderson all of the Codroy Valley. Mother-in-law Genevieve O'Quinn, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation took place on Feb. 22 and 23 at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Upper Ferry. Funeral mass took place on Feb. 24, 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, officiated by Father Edward Terry. Interment followed at Mount St. Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery, Great Codroy.
