ANDERSON, Tryphena Mary
(October 3, 1945 - July 23, 2016)

It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Tryphena Anderson (nee Skinner) announces her sudden passing on Saturday July 23, at Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Center at the age of 70. Born in Isle aux Morts, Tryphena was the daughter of the late Elijah and Sarah (nee Coley) Skinner. She was predeceased by her mother and father-in-law; Ethel (nee Chant) and David Anderson and many brothers and sisters-in-law. She leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her devoted husband Charles Anderson of 51 years. Proud mother of Tuesday Seymour St. John's NL, Sean Anderson (Jeannette) Port aux Basques, Luke Anderson Isle aux Morts. She will always be remembered as a loving grandmother to Shane, Jill, Sarah, and David. Sisters and brothers-in-law; Margie Parsons (Aubrey) Bay Roberts NL, Ellen Kendall, Rose Warren (Claude), Florence Anderson all of Port aux Basques, Ruth Weatherall of Montreal, Elsie Anderson and Margie Anderson both of Port aux Basques and a large circle of many special nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation taking place on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Faith Pentecostal Tabernacle, Grand Bay, from where the funeral service will be taking place on Wednesday July 27, 2 pm officiated by Pastor Tyrone Ball. Interment will follow at Faith Pentecostal Cemetery, Trans Canada Highway. DICKS, Morgan Albert
It is with great sadness that the family of Morgan Albert Dicks announce his passing on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at his home in St Catharines, Ontario at the age of 65. Born in Port aux Basques, he was the son of Marie Dicks (nee Kettle) and the late Morgan Dicks. He was also predeceased by his sister Dianne Dicks, brother Philip and sister-in- law Gladys Dicks, brother David Dicks and Sister Juanita Alley. He leaves to mourn his mother Marie Dicks, brothers Calvin Dicks, Lester (Edna) Dicks, Ivan (Ruby) Dicks, Conrad (Gladys) Dicks, Claude (Florence) Dicks, Gordon Dicks, Robert Dicks and sister-in-law Elizabeth Dicks. Morgan will also be missed by a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with the George Darte funeral chapel, St. Catharines. Morgan will be brought home to Port aux Basques, where there will be a service at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Morgan's memory to Wayside Transition House, 200 Queenston Street, St. Catharines, Ontario.

HARDY. Cassie May
(November 1, 1920 - July 21, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cassie May Hardy (nee Mauger) announces her peaceful passing at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center in Port aux Basques at the age of 95 years. Born at Petites, Cassie was the daughter of the late Aaron and Emma Mauger. She was also predeceased by her husband Freeman in 1984, brothers; Andrew Mauger (Ethel), Ward Mauger, Sawl Mauger and sister Maggie Bennett (Colin). A wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great, great grandmother, Cassie will be sadly missed by her children George Mauger (Ruth) Diamond Cove, Mary Hardy (Gerald), Ward Hardy (Diane) all of Rose Blanche, Clarence Hardy (Anne) Searston, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation taking place on Friday evening and continuing on Saturday from St. Micheal's and All Angels Anglican Church in Rose Blanche, from where the funeral service will take place on Sunday July 24, 2 pm officiated by Rev. Jeffrey Petten, interment will follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in memory of Cassie can be made to the charity of one's choice. HAYWARD, Louis Edward
August 2, 1958 - July 19, 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Louis Hayward announces his passing on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at his home. Born in Port-aux-Basques, he was the son of James and the late Lucy May (Billard) Hayward. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children, Shawn and Andrea, his father, James Hayward, brothers and sisters, Barbara (Norman) McNeil, Garry (Dena) Hayward, Wayne Hayward (Alice Maynard), Pamela (Paul) Mauger and Wanda (Nick) Di-Monte, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Lucy May Hayward. The family will be receiving family and friends at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Port-aux-Basques on Wednesday, July 20 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, July 21 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service took place on Friday, July 22 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church with Rev. INGRAM, Nelson
(October 11, 1922 - July 20, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nelson Ingram announces his peaceful passing on Wednesday July 20, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 93 years. Born at Grand Bruit, Nelson was the son of the late George and Blanche Ingram, he was also predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (nee Ford) in 2005, sister Nora Snow (David), sisters in law; Harriett Green (George), Betty Battiste (Len), Lena Bungay (George), Pearl Buffett (Leonard), Esther Green (Ken), Lillian Currie (Hubert), brothers in law; Tom Ford (Cassie), Edgar Ford (Maggie), Gerald Ford, Wilson Ford. He leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories his children; Tom (Dorothy) Lomond, Margaret (Allan) Hayman all of Halifax NS, George (Barbara) Ingram Tompkins, Leander (Mary Ann) Ingram Burnt Islands, Brenda (Ed) Tatton Stroud ON, David (Joanne) Ingram Port aux Basques. Also left with many wonderful memories of Nelson are his 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Sisters in law Hannah Ford and Alice Ford both of Port aux Basques and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Nelson was an outdoors man, he loved nature and his passion was moose hunting he spent endless hours with his sons in the woods and he enjoyed every minute. The most treasured memory of Dad will always be his contagious smile, he was always happy and smiling and always eager to share his warmth and happiness with anyone he met, we were so fortunate to have had him with us for all of these wonderful years. It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Gordon Kettle announces his passing on Thursday July 14, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 88 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Gordon was the son of the late George William and Anges (nee Chaulk) Kettle. He was also predeceased by his father and mother in law Emmanuel C. And Melinda Lomond, grandson Glenn Gordon Pittman, brothers; Wilson, Stan, Nathan and John, sisters; Gladys, Evangeline, Olive and Alice and brothers and sisters in law. He leaves to mourn with a lifetime of precious memories his loving and devoted wife Frances (nee Lomond) of 69 years. A proud father, grandfather and great grandfather he will forever remain in the hearts of his children; Alice (Charles) Pittman Grand Falls - Windsor NL, Wayne (Florence) Kettle Dunville ON, Bonnie (Wolf) Ilmer Grand Prairie AB. It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Maurice MacIsaac announces his sudden passing on Saturday July 9, 2016 at his residence in Doyles at the age of 69 years. Born at Doyles, Maurice was the son of the late Daniel and Veronica (nee Collier) MacIsaac. He was also predeceased by his brothers; Edward, Bobby, Billy, Peter and Tony. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his children; Natalie MacIsaac (Kelly Francis) Port aux Basques, Ian (Jennifer) MacIsaac Kitchener BC, Lesley (Fernando) Amaral Dartmouth NS. Loving poppy of Caitlyn, John, Alexandra, Sophie, Leanna, Hailey. He will also be sadly missed by his brother Leonard MacIsaac, sister Helen (Eli) Anderson all of Doyles, the mother of his children, Martha MacIsaac Port aux Basques and a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Visitation took place on Wednesday July 13, form 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home, 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques. The mass of Christian burial took place on Friday July 15, 2 pm at Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church in St. Andrew's, officiated by Father James. MEADE, Eric Wilson
(May 23, 1926 - July 5, 2016)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric Meade announces his passing on Tuesday July 5, 2016 at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 90 years. Born in Fox Roost, Eric was the son of the late Ernest and Harriet (nee Billard) Meade. He was also predeceased by his wife Alma (nee LeFrense) in 1999. Son in law Lloyd Billard in 2013, brothers; Clarence, George (Laura), Willard, Augustus, Norman, and Wallace, sisters; Mary Jane (Maxwell) Walters, Lorna (Reginald) Buffett. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving and devoted daughter Gloria Billard Port aux Basques. He will forever remain in the hearts of his grandsons Deon (Gesil) Billard, Darren (Tina) Billard all of Margaree. A proud great grandfather he will also be sadly missed by his great grandchildren; Lucas Carroll, Mitchell Billard, Logan Billard, Nickolas Billard, Brooke Billard. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters in law; Hazel Meade Port aux Basques, Dorothy Meade, Marie Meade both of Fox Roost and a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. (June 21, 1943 - July 14, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Catherine Mushrow (nee Barter) announces her passing peacefully at home on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the age of 73 years. Mary was the daughter of the late Thomas Barter and Margaret Lafosse Barter (nee Piercey). She was also predeceased by her sister Maude Bradley, father and mother-in-law Peter and Mary Mushrow. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her devoted husband Lloyd Sr of 52 years. A loving mother and grandmother, she will forever remain in the hearts of her children Lloyd Jr (Donna) Mushrow Goulds NL, Nadine (Harvey) Hickey Cape Ray NL, Madonna (Basil) MacIsaac Lac La Biche AB and Nancy Mushrow (Dave P. Osmond) Lower Sackville NS and her grandchildren Bobby, Christopher, Jody and James. She will also be forever remembered by her brother Dr. Kenneth Barter (Karen Pollett) Victoria BC, brothers-in-law Peter K (Elsa) Mushrow Chilliwack BC, Garry (Nancy) Mushrow Port aux Basques NL, Wayne (Joan) Mushrow Middle Sackville NS, Danny (Emma) Mushrow Port aux Basques NL, sister-in -law Maxine (Ronnie) Battiste Codroy Valley NL and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. She will especially be remembered by her beloved card club friends during the 53 years they played together. In addition to her family and friends, Mary loved volunteering and devoted numerous hours to the community including Girl Guides, Lioness, Kinettes, Ladies Hospital Auxiliary, Cancer Relay for Life as well as many other organizations. When most people were ready to retire, at the age of 65, Mary started her career as a librarian and felt privileged to be paid to do something she loved dearly. Funeral services will be taking place on Monday July 18, 2 pm from St. James Anglican Church, Channel with Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sadie Squarey announce her passing at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre on July 3, 2016 at the age of 87 years. Sadie was the daughter of the late Baxter and Grace (nee Feltham) Squarey. She was also predeceased by her sisters Leona Squarey, Jean Squarey, Alice (Ronald) Coole and Ethel (Donald) Cluett and Florence (Thomas) Pollock and brother Henry "Harry" Squarey. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her sisters Roberta (Robert) Billard, and Leona (John) Marshall, brother Arthur Squarey, special nephew Wayne (Kathy) Squarey and special niece Melissa Squarey, plus many nephews, nieces and friends. 1954-2016

It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Lloyd Styles announces his passing on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the age of 61 years. Lloyd was the son of the late Thomas and Annie (Taylor) Styles. He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Sheila (Musseau) Styles of 42 years, loving father of Robert (Simone) of Port-aux-Basques. He will forever remain in the hearts of his sister, Christine Norris and nephew, Michael (Jennifer) Norris, father-in-law, Reg Musseau and a large circle of friends. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Minnie (Skeard) Musseau. In keeping with Lloyd's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 12, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fillatre's Funeral Home; a gathering will follow at the family home in Doyles. Funeral service taking place on Wednesday, July 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. WARFORD, EDMUND ALEXANDER
August 26, 1930 - July 9, 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edmund Warford announces his passing on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Center, with his loving family by his side at the age of 85. Born in Hampden, he was the son of the late James and Martha (Pike) Warford. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving and devoted wife Margaret (Green) of 61 years, a loving father of Perry (Glennis), Hamilton, ON, Beverly Musseau (Carlos), St. Catherine's, ON, Eddie (Virginia) St. Catherine's, ON, Dorothy (Dwight) Billard, Oakville, ON, Sherry (Bill) Murphy, Mississauga, ON and Wade (Mary) Corner Brook, NL. Proud grandfather to Lacey, Clinton, Chuck, Luanne, Morgan, Perry, Sarah, Megan, Lori, Jay and Alysaa and great grandfather to Marcus, Travis, Neveah and April. He will also remain in the hearts of his sisters, Emily Batstone and Lillian Warford and brother, Almore Warford, sisters-in-laws, Sarah Ann Warford, Rosina Warford and Marie Warford, brothers and sister-in-laws, Julia Strickland, Woodrow (Linda) Green and John Nelson LeFrense, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers, Harry, Nathan, Bill and George Warford. Friends visited at the Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts on Thursday, July 14 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service took place on Friday, July 15 at 2:00 p.m. from the Holy Spirit Anglican Church officiated by Rev. Maryrose Colbourne. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements in care of Fillatre Funeral Home.
